in the NTSB press conference, it was an sub-continent sounding female reporter who phrased the question in such a way that nationality gets mentioned in the response, that NTSB lady didn't take the bait and responded professionally.

Everyone tried their best to avoid the mishap but too many wrong things happened at the same time. Power generation failed 2-3 times.

Don't try to put it on Pilots either as they are never in control of the ship, Ship always remains under the main master. Pilot only works as advisor.

there are layers... in a way, this is a test for US gov's intent to retain their top spot in global economy.

the way they will conduct this investigation,
what comes out of this investigation,
what will they do if there are procedural remedies that need to be carried out in their own system,
how fast will they be able to rebuild the bridge
how fast will they be able to put this port and that region, back to business as usual.

Added, this vessel was Singaporean. So, issues wouldn't have escalated at all.
