Violence is needed for both an individual and state to be respected and feared. Nobody respects a harmless man. Nobody respects a state that won't bite even when 5 of its soldiers were killed.
Even if we do a strike now, it's a welcome step but nowhere near enough. If we attack only when attacked, the initiative is still under Pakis. What Hindus need to learn is to be attackers. Pakis maybe uncomfortable but they're still fine because they don't have to pay much price.
If we take 10 lives for 5 lives lost, there won't be much fear. The real fear comes when 100 or even 1000 lives are lost when 5 soldiers are killed.
