The reason for Ecuador grounding it was the maintenance issues, they didn't renew the maintenance contract with HAL, that's what I remember. And moreover Dhruv does have a pretty clean record in india when it comes to accidents.

But those kind of incidents do leave a stain on Dhruv's image. When Rudra was offered to phillipnes it was rejected citing its past crash record even though it was the cheapest option.

That's why, on every platform, I say that the steel frame of All India Services, must be uprooted. Level playing field to everyone. Since the blue blood boys are beyond to any law, what they say is law, therefore, they do what they want and they can not be held accounted for whatever blunder they done. Rudra is and lch are light helicopters which can carry payload in high altitudes.....
Doesn't mean they can't deployed in plain s ....
