Not surprising. The Russian car market is huge and there is space for several other car companies that cam fill the void. BMW and other western brands were insane to blindly follow their leaders rather than lobby for exemptions. Now they will never be able to enter due to Chinese and other brands stepping up.

South Korea was smart not to halt supplies completely and retain a smaller share and presence in the Russian market.

Tata should make its move and push JLR.

I fully agree. But the Indian automotive sector is acting like US's little bitch. It goes to show why we need to aggressively push for the localization of supply chains.

Tata doesn't have global ambitions, if so they would have done so in other markets already. Besides some of their engines are foreign sourced.

Only hope is Mahindra.
