But it doesn’t a good resolution of the target to direct fire, that is why it can’t be used as a fire control radar only good for detection. Has its own advantages as enhanced situational awareness, but fact will remain that due to low RCS it will be difficult for X-band fire control radars to direct fire at the tango unless it gets too close and by then the tango would break you apart.

You can use low frequencies, as long as the active homing radar on the missile has a radar beam that is wide enough to cover the azimuth and elevation. Using these frequencies you cant tell if there is one big target or if there are two depending how close they fly together.

ir sensors are of various types
1) supports only mwir( used for maws)
2)supports both mwir,lwir(used in irst)
3)supports qwip ,lwir ,mwir (used in modern irstlike ols 50 in su57,das in f35,skyward in gripen)

that is why i say our dcmaws (supports only mwir for now) can be upgraded to support lwir and qwip to make it a das like system), btw ddm ng on rafale is very confidential (french call it maws but it might be lwir...)

official said "a derivative of dcmaws is being developed" derivative probably means upgraded because dcmaws is now old and already being used so what does derivative means

i considered stealth also undetectable till i knew about digital rwr, actually when f22 was developed analogue rwr didnt had these capabilities,so it was considered invincible

Ya, stealth made so much difference that wars are obsolete and the one who has it has already taken over the opponent and eliminated them. They are so secret that they can not be exposed without make up or disguise.....while still wiating for real world interactions on the role it played in actual conditions against capable opponent
