What source are you getting this from? This is why no one can take you seriously with ROCKS or this missile's claims. Your are assuming that missiles with double ranges must have double speeds. ROCKS is a hybrid according to that source I posted being above mach 1.

The requirement for AARGM-ER that Orbital ATK have to full fill is to double the range of AARGM and make the missile finish it in the same amount of time. If you fly twice as far in the same amount of time, then your speed must be twice as fast.
And why I am not surprised at all with your cherry-picking of source for ROCKS speed. If it is a Russian made weapon, I am sure you choose the source with the highest number, If it is an US made or allies made weapon, you will make sure to find the source with the smallest number for range and speed.
It has only been shown a million times that ROCKS is Black sparrow with Spice seeker. It has the same length, it has the same shape, it made by the same company.

Late or early is according to the initial planning and the monney spent. The bird is years late, and far over budget.
But it's not so important.
The real risk is that the plane will never be fully operationnal, because when applying a patch you solve one problem and create one or more others.

AARGM is Mach 2 ,so AARGM-ER with double the speed is Mach 4. And AARGM-ER is not close to Kh-58, Kh-58 has far bigger wing areas that will increase drag. If anything is similar to AARGM-ER, then it is Kh-15, similar airframe.Kh-15 carries 2.55 times more rocket propellant than AARGM-ER. But, the cross section area of Kh-15 is 2.46 times greater than AARGM-ER.

Concerning rock and black sparrow, they are the same length, same shape, made by the same company. A blind men could see one base on another and original black sparrow has a warhead compartment too.

Then you found another source that said someone in some university found a way to increase the burn rate of missile fuel by adding copper. The company and agency that will develop internal Kinzhal and the unversity that discover the new way to increase propellant burn rate are not the same one, and there is a big gap from something made in the labs and full rate weapon production. But that doesn't stop you from assuming internal Kinzhal will be as fast as the much bigger external version, all because that a Russian weapon and you want to believe that they are awesome. But when Rafael introduces a new missile that have exact same shape, dimension, booster as a missile they started produce for testing since 7 years ago, you refuse to believe that their new missile will have the similar characteristics to the old one. Saw your responses with Deino until they decided to ban you and that same deino shows quite the disinterest of key aero in one of his comments. Because those were one of the forums he was not a staff member of got called out on his BS of Chinese bias.

I know we talk before, heated even and yes someone being banned from a forum doesn't automatically mean he is inaccurate in what he said. But if someone get banned in multiple sites for multiple time, then that a red flag. A pro Russian poster being hated by pro US posters is normal, but a pro Russian poster being hated even by other pro Russian poster then that is a red flag. And panzerfeist1 just happen to have too many of them red flag.

The reason of my banning was I like Russian aircraft and women.

Sinodefence forum banned me for 3 reasons.

I said China was going to buy Su-35, I was right for 5 or 6 years.
People got angry at me.

I said T-50-5 was not destroyed but same aircraft and was going to be fixed.

I tried to show why T-50 has better aerodynamics than J-20 or F-35

I said J-10 can not do cobra, and J-10 only was going to do it with thrust vectoring nozzles.


I was right at least in 3 things about J-20 versus Su-57 only in the Levcons versus Canards I am right, however Deino banned me for being right.


Secret projects

I got into the nerves according of the administrator because I participated and I know more or less aerodynamics, I am not expert but I base my assertions upon science, again Deino stirred things to ban me and the administrator a guy who thinks his forum is the universe and he is the God of that universe all knowing decided i was not going to be an alternate divinity, so pretty narcissistic guy, the administrator of that forum banned me.


Pakistan defence

Again same Deino got angry because his lack of knowledge in aerodynamics and banned me.


Now honest Forums are clubs, we get carried out by passions that at the end are fruitless attempts to convince others, I do not want to argue like that any way, I will leave Deino in his world and there are more forums, i can talk to new people, i will not argue any more with him, the best advice I can tell you is we should let others be, we can not change people.

If we are designers and we test our machines like F-15 was tested against MiG-23, well we can say our opinions matter, the rest is propaganda, I like MiG-23 a lot but sadly I had to admit F-15 is superior in most aspects
