If you see the purchase of more F-15s and F-18s from the USAF as an automatic cut to the F-35, you are being foolish, but hey you're French, you can't help yourself. With US economy on high speed ahead, the defense budget at record levels, while there is plenty of talk, finally there will be no cuts, there will be if any a slow down in orders deffered to a later date (but there is no indication of that). This is an obvious move by the Trumpster to keep the lines open longer much longer so US can continue to buy/sell the other teens as well. All he real cares for is creating and keeping jobs.

The real bad news is while Rafale may or may not have another export order in it's bag but it's virtually certain that the F-15 will continue to sell long into the next decade.

don't worry for Rafale.
Next will be an add on for Egypt.
Then India for MMRCA2.

About F35 : USAF will never order legacy fighter without cutting orders elsewhere. It's so easy to understand....

How about you worry about your little order book and paying up 2% to NATO, until then STFU. The F-35 and purchase of other teens is the concern of the largest contributor with 4% of GDP, they will manage what they manage.

Funny how people who leech on US NATO security still talk about shit like they own it.

It's a perfect answer of someone who has nothing to say and no real arguments.
Shut up please.

F-35 fighters show off capabilities in Red Flag war games
F
Twelve F-35s from the 4th Air Squadron took part with 13 pilots who'd never flown a Lightning II in Red Flag and four just out of training. What was surprising was that when the F-35s took on a larger force of 60 Blue Air fighters in a counter-air mission, the Lightings were able to more than hold their own by blinding them with their advanced electronic attack capabilities.

"I've never seen anything like it before," says Colonel Joshua Wood, 388th Operations Group commander. "This is not a mission you want a young pilot flying in. My wingman was a brand new F-35A pilot, seven or eight flights out of training. He gets on the radio and tells an experienced, 3,000-hour pilot in a very capable fourth-generation aircraft. 'Hey bud, you need to turn around. You're about to die. There's a threat off your nose.'"

The Air Force says the pilot in question scored four "kills" during the hour-long fight.

It's perfect for a whiny French man with a country in rapid decline to talk shit about another country that is the first to come saving your ass every time the German came around.

As said, pay up or shut up, you needn't worry about US budgets, they far exceed anything EU can offer and whether they cut a few orders or just expand them in the future it doesn't affect the F-35 program, the USN , USMC or USAF one way or the other. Funnily late 60s-70s fighters are funnily still out selling in this day against any French or EU can offer. How about focusing on producing something that people will actually buy?

Pedal turn....
F35 seem only able to realise that dedicated manoeuver.
A totally useless one...
As useless.

it's just made to entertain tourists like you
Well then you should go teach these engineer and pilots at Lockheed Martin and NASA, it sounds like you know more than them

Comparing X31 and F35 is like comparing a panther and a boar : they all have 4 legs, but one is agile the other is clumsy.
A plane doing a Cobra or a pedal turn is a marvellous target in the sky, with predicable trajectory. It's NEVER used in combat.

Nothing impressive.
At the beginning the plane is heavy, low responsing because full of fuel.
It's only at the end that it is better, nearly empty.
The inertia is huge, it's clearly visible.

Except the huge "roar" of the engine, nothing special.

Far far from a F22.

Related- LM has suffered a HUGE blow this week to the chances of ever selling their overhyped junk to India.

Not only were PAK F16s used in offensive ops against India but they managed to lose one to a MiG-21 of all fighters- the very bottom of the IAF’s fleet.

This won’t be missed by the IAF community

But was there any evidence that F-16 was indeed shot down?
There was this claim:
https://navbharattimes.indiatimes.c...days-failed-paf-raid/articleshow/68196380.cms

1- However there is no GE F-110 engine in PAF, PAF F-16 use F-100 PW229 and F-100 PW200 instead, which has very different engine patterns from the wreckage, their pattern is diagonal

Besides, a close-up photo of F-110 engine doesn't look anything like the wreckage, if not completely different

If we look at the wreckage of Mig-21 shot down in serbia, it became quite clear what aircraft that wreck belongs to

Then there was this claim: the marker number inside the wreckage is allegedly belong to a Jordan F-16 that was transfer to PAF, but then it turn out the wreckage belong to the Mig-21 site

Aside from the AIM-120C wreckage that has been produced, the IAF has the electronic signatures to prove it.

In coming days it will be proven beyond a doubt.

AIM120 parts does not mean that an F-16 was shot down. It only means that an F-16 was used by Pakistan in firing an AIM120 (still not good for Pakistan though).

So far all the pictures shown on the internet from both Pakistani and Indian sources do not prove that a Pakistani F-16 was shot down.

I'll take the word of service chiefs who clarified that indeed an F-16 was shot down by the bison, this is the official story which is backed up by evidence of which the IAF has plenty of and will be shared at the right time.
