we have a substitute thats drdo aip and the 214 is being bought to increase the number of subs in indian navy and the the type of aips with it we can know the performance of drdo aip and comparitively subject it to further modification either ways the sub fleet is going to increase to more than the 24 originally in my opinion

There is maintenance cost, repairs etc for 214. It does not magically maintain itself. Submarines can't be manufactured in a few days during emergencies. So, having a useless submarine dependent on USA during times of critical needs serves no purpose in terms of security. If your aim is to increase the number of submarines in wikipedia or parades or "international naval exercises" just to boost your insecure and weak mind, buying 214 is viable. But if you want a rea submarine for defence, then avoid American or any unreliable source

You can't make foreign designed parts. It is not that you can buy any local part and substitute it. If there is even a minor difference in metal grades, alloy %age, the welding won't hold & create problems. If there is any difference in parts for engine or subsystems like electronics, FCS, SONAR etc, it won't work. It is not something you can indigenise by substituting parts. You have to substitute entire system of dependent parts in one go.

i consider the opposite i thing they should work on air denial than air superiority and they should sell those flankers they are left with buying air defence is anyday cheaper to armenia and procure them in massive number that the tb2 harop and jfff-17 should be forced to maintain distance

Yes they need to be defensive and they're geography supports. mountainous terrain etc etc. With artilleries positioned on right spots they can rain havoc on approaching force..
But more important than this they need EW potent enough to perform jamming of the akinci, all drones, and kamikazes...
They need the hemshakti like electronic warfare system which can do jamming at long ranges. Remember the akinci has quite good standoff weapons... They have brought some EW systems but they are not all rounder this hemshakti is monster the 80 vehicles can cover area more than 150x70km. It's predecessor samyukta covers 150x70 with 145 vehicles. If not this hemraj is minituarised version with 25 vehicles.. they have brought drone jammers only whereas hemshakti can disrupt sar, sigint,comint, elint, against all types assets tanks, any communications, air asset In its area of range. It can then locate it and perform jamming and even facilitate communication in jamming environment..


THey might be buy hemshakti electronic warfare systems in future , vshorad, MPATGM, and maybe tank & BMP upgrade kits.. they re is just enormous sales potential Armenia has 1.6 billion dollars of budget...

Then just buy the AIP part or a submarine already fitted with AIP for just testing. Also, how will you guarantee that foreign companies will give you the best AIP rather than lower grade export variant?

archer ng is smaller faster has only one engine cheaper and carrier roughly same payload at higher altitude and has higher endurance by design

they should have the tapas to do testing and all like put turboprop new engines and sensors by design it cant fulfil the requirements without getting a more powerful engine
