Buying some parts from foreign countries is actually a better idea and it can save time and money , buying few Ball bearings is cheaper and less time consuming than establishing a ball bearing factory .
Even Americans , Chinese , Russians or Europeans don't build everything under the roof because it is not practical .
But could have sourced's from a local's OEM's.

Maybe off topic
Does anyone know about this technology?
The heads up display seems to show some kind of night vision view ahead ......
Is this even real...?
If so, do we have something in the works similar to this tech

This is an old technology ......latest technology is DAS used in F35 , which provides 360° night vision capabilities .

India is also trying to develop it for AMCA.

ground based Ballistic Missile Early warning system, Range 5000Km, Apart from these there are some others in Greenland and one in Qatar.

India should create this kind of ground based Ballistic Missile defense Radar network . possible to use these radars can blind satellites and can act as a very powerful electronic attack.hope we will develop it. i think we are concentrating on Mobile Radar network like VLRTR

From Nashik to Thiruvananthapuram: Mammoth truck covers 1,700km in 10 months.

A 74-tyre truck carrying machinery weighing 70 tonnes finally reached the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday 10 months after it began its journey from Maharashtra’s Nashik, around 1,700 km away, to the country’s premier research institute.

Usually, regular trucks cover the distance between Nashik and Thiruvananthapuram in five to seven days. The mammoth truck moved at a snail’s pace with each of the five states it journeyed through making special arrangements for it.

In some places potholed roads had to be repaired, trees cut and electric poles removed to allow the truck, carrying an aerospace autoclave, to move.

They began their journey on September 1 last year. Yadav said the machinery is 7.5 metres high and 7 metres wide. Since the chassis of the vehicle carrying the machinery had to be very strong, the truck almost covered the entire road at many places. “In some places, roads were widened and trees were cut to make way for it. And at two places, special iron girders were put to strengthen bridges,” he said.

I posted this here cos how our ICBMs like Agni 5&6 will manuver in our narrow roads . May be they will only assemble the missile when arrive at the launch site .

No

Multiple designated pre surveyed routes and launch points are allocated before hand.

Even than TELs for all agni series missile are certified for use in highways and off-road ( canisterised ones ).

And missiles are prepared before moving out to their launch locations at their storage locations , definitely not at their launch locations ( except for silo based missiles )

And canisterised missiles don't require any preparations at all except for automated pre launch tests which is mandatory before launch. Actually similar tests are done on a regular basis through BITE to maintain a state of readiness. It is part of protocols.

DRDO's Black Box Recorder With Satellite Transmitter (BSAT) For Underwater Vehicles i.e torpedoes The BSAT provides a mission data backup of sunken underwater vehicles n it is akin to a black box recorder of aircraft. Comprises of TR-IR and EM signals A GPS with an antenna to provide GPS parameters of the BSAT, a transmit antenna to transmit the GPS para n para associated wth the underwater vehicle, an ejection mechanism to eject the BSAT frm the underwater vehicle on detecting a pre-defined condition, by an EC.

isro and RRI is developing Quantum Technologies for ISRO's Satellites. Recently, the RRI simulated a toolkit(Quantum Key Distribution or QKDsim) to ensure safety in secure quantum communication platforms. Quantum comms exploits "quantum entanglement" in which photons are "linked" together in such a way that they affect one another no matter how far apart they are. They appear to be connected to each other n behave as a single physical object.
Bcz 3rd party cannot tamper with the photons without destroying their "entanglement"

L&T's Proposed conventionally powered Coastal Submarine.

These are a small, maneuverable sub with shallow draft well suited to navigation of coastal channels and harbors.

Coastal subs are larger than midget submarines, but smaller than sea-going submarines.

The Proposed system was equipped with high-precision navigation and surveillance systems for operation in littoral waters.
Surveillance missions while resting on the seabed.
