Nice. Lockheed is the epitome of military aerospace. Though their policies are not friendly towards India still I have to say their hunger for innovation is unmatched.

They took 2 years from design to first flight for NGAD. While in India for last 15 years AMCA is till on drawing papers.

What's the use of IP rights actually? Atmanirbharata is achieved truly only when in one side our r&d team are able to research and prototype the product the hardway without jugaad and pass on the knowledge towards next generation i.e the Legacy and on another side the manufacturing team are able to produce products efficiently and quickly. The most prized possession of Lockheed Martin and Northrop are their knowledge legacy they possess. Lets say we get IP rights of present gen product free at cost. What about next generation with no domestic r&d experts matured through previous one, we will be dependent on foreign maal forever.
