We are all set to get partners in many critical technologies.
Please explain this in some detail. Defence is generally a seller's market & we have long been milked by others for our requirements, and there's generally very strict control over cutting edge IP. What has changed now that we are getting access denied earlier? What is the nature of these partnerships- is it a one time pay or royalty per sample produced type? Also are we going to get the bleeding edge of tech or several years old technology?

@NeXoft007 bhai

Will the engine be the same and output differ or a new 440hp engine with aero grade disel??

Prototype AF-1, AF-2, AF-3 & AF-4 had twin 115HP Rotax engines. (230HP output).

Prototype AF-5, AF-6, AF-6A have twin 180HP Austro engines. (360HP output).

Now the work is on for integrating twin indigenous 220HP engine on (possibly) AF-7 and AF-7A, combined 440HP output.

While AF-8, AF-9 & AF-10, each final prototype will be configured for testing by Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy.

The useful payload capacity for Rustom 2 will be doubled... From 350kg on initial prototypes to 700kg on final production variant.

No so soon for that, but one of the immediate requirements is the official CCS approval for AMCA and 110KN engine...it's already 2022, we should not delay it further
Ultimately now my frustration is on peak as they haven't even sanctioned the funds required for amca
Shows that just they are sitting on their asses and delaying it when it should've been sanctioned in 2k19 itself.
The quicker they provide fund the lesser time it takes it's so obvious,yet they're taking much time😑
Is developing 5th gen aircraft a joke like they're taking it lightly?

Same is the case for engines
No interest,no plans

Nothing
