Exactly, don't even need a network for this. Instead of Navic, Chongs must be getting GPS locations- how is it any different.

India successfully test fires cluster munitions version of Pinaka rocket. Each rocket has 234 bomblets and will be used for area suppression strikes against enemy troop/vehicle concentrations.

All versions of Pinaka (Mk1, Mk2 and guided Pinaka) can be equipped with this warhead.

That's why we are testing them faster so that we can quickly induct them .

How? How's the navic location of a device better than gps location? And please don't tell that with gps, they need to put in a new software to track because the bloatware in Chinese phones or any phone does that pretty well.

That Rocket is a loitering munition.
And the PDF SS I posted is a Statement of case for the system.
It does say “Vertical launcher” is proposed and we all know BMRLS can’t be a vertical launcher with 360° coverage.

Goes round in circles on how we should promote Indian companies, 12 billion dollars investment that Chongs shouldn't take advantage of(weird), Oppo will be strongly entrenched in the Indian market due to this(hardly so, which company has offered a particular type of navigation system as it's value please tell me. Customer doesn't give a damn if it's GPS or Navic as long as Maps and all work fine)
Also, no answer on how it is any more dangerous than the situation at present? They already have your location data if you use their phone. They also have a bulk load of other info(media, contacts, email, banking details) if you use their phone or apps (which you most likely do).

I don't think it is guided pinaka. Does guided pinaka use passive IR guidance? Range is also less.
