May be lack of decent upgrades for the gun.

Why not replace it with a 7.62x51 DMR? It will be a pain importing ammo for this during conflict.

The Kalashnikov SAG SVD Dragunov Free-float Chassis is one-pack upgrade set which will gives it Optics, Bipods, mounting platform and a long free-float fore-end at the same time.

Kalashnikov Concern is partenering with Sureshot Armament Group of Moscow to offer this thing ?

Trying to sell Snake Oil ? Idea is good and practical but we don't need imported maal for simply providing a free-floating railed handguard with keymod slots to our SVD; we could easily do it here and SSSD ones already have their SVD upgrade kit that almost provides same thing except free-floating barrel, they could easily make similar thing here from this one.

Their bolt actions "Viper//Saber" were based on canadian kits that they most likely rebranded or kopied etc whatever, dunno about SVD kit but giving to their previous "practices" it most likely could be same story,

but in this context SSSD's SVD kit was more or less providing everything that this Ruskie one is offering to except free-floating barrel and if they could just take some "inspiration" from this one and try to make their equivalent here then we don't need to pay Svetlanas for such trivial "upgrade" huh.

I feel we need to use a 7.62x51mm NATO DMR, importing the 7.62x54mmR round is not at all a good idea.
