Ack ack is a term from WWI. Ack was the phonetic alphabet of the British for the letter. So AA=Ack Ack. Going by todays use wonder they will call it Alpha Alpha.

Using our own acronyms is not professional. It will dilute our standards.

I was in A'stan last year and was on my was to B'stan in a Herc. My Lt. asked me to handle COIN as we were buggered by 1Kt WMDs. Our Gen told us to die for our country because the FedRes was bombed and all is lost. We were then ordered to move out of FOB and assist FAB. I began wondering why the FAB were involved in all of this. My Maj was explaining the difference when a spooky dropped a slug on his head. Mr SAM was bringing down a couple of Helos for dinner while my Col was shouting something about fratricide. Things did not last long after the Boomer began its show. In the end we were F.U.B.A.R. We won and the bad guys were OOOed. Kudos to FAKAP.
