I've heard that there's a tender out for a new RCWS ?! bcoz the one on the tank is quite large and bulky.

With the L&T consortium bagging the SPG deal for the K9 "Vajra" the Bhim is dead.

Ah that is something I did not wanted to hear. But are 100 K9s enough for the army? Specially there doesn't seem to be an indication of a possibility of a repeat order. Is there a required number of SPGs that IA has stated? Maybe Bhim can fill the rest if the number is big enough (Obviously from logistics and technology point of view more K9s would make sense) .

No way is 100 going to be enough or the final order. once the production line is up and running in India more orders will follow. Bhim is dead and buried now, what's the use for it with the K9 coming in?

Deal signed and L&T is setting up the plant in Pune.
