Will create 100,000 internal jobs! My friend is in a supplier for the langding tyres, a local hi tech material company.
It is a $1.5T market, ancillary jobs will be over million! And it is growing as more and more of the pieces are localized. Because of the threat of sanctions localization is now guaranteed unlike in the semicon industry where China was willing allow dependence on globalized supply chains for decades on end.

The only way to gain people's confidence is to have it in service. There is no other way.

In 1999, Airbus signed an agreement with China Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC I), under which Airbus would transfer manufacturing technologies and production lines used in the making of A320 wings components, with the objective of enabling China to manufacture whole wings.

At yesterday ceremony, Tom Williams, Airbus's executive vice president of procurement, said that the proportion of difficulty in manufacturing and assembling A320 wing technology to that of the overall technology of manufacturing a full aircraft is from 1/3 to 1/2.

Top European planemaker Airbus has advanced technology sharing and manufacturing agreements with entities linked to China's state-run military apparatus, a new report shows.

The findings will beg questions over how long Europe's aviation champion can continue to secure its strong market position in China with such local partnerships, when faced with an increasingly tense strategic relationship between Beijing and the West and growing calls for less dependence on Chinese manufacturing.
"Airbus-China engagement entails significant ties to China’s military and military-civil fusion apparatus, including in the form of supply dependencies, technology sharing, and research and development cooperation," it adds.

Crowdstrike writes:
Though it is difficult to assess that the CJ-1000AX is a exact copy of the LEAP-X without direct access to technical engineering specifications, it is highly likely that its makers benefited significantly from the cyber espionage efforts of the MSS, which will be detailed further in subsequent blog installments, knocking several years (and potentially billions of dollars) off its development time.
We know so much about this specific situation because of indictments the Department of Justice has issued against various individuals, including "Sakula developer YU Pingan, JSSD Intelligence Officer XU Yanjun, GE Employee and insider ZHENG Xiaoqing, U.S. Army Reservist and assessor JI Chaoqun, and 10 JSSD-affiliated cyber operators in the ZHANG et. al. indictment." The details revealed in these indictments have corroborated CrowdStrike's own investigation.

C919 is more fuel-efficient than the Boeing 737s that Chinese airlines are currently using. Not too bad for a first attempt at a narrow-body!
