At least he had the guts to meet the dictator toe to toe. Maybe you have more info of him Regarding India, that I am not aware of.

Guts?

1. He had an agreement with the French to help in case of a german invasion. HE DID NOT HELP.
2. He had an agreement with the polish to help in case of a german & Russian invasion. HE DID NOT HELP.

It was only when the germans got too close for his comfort and he had NO OPTION LEFT, he decided to intervene in world war 2. This was also, AFTER the german targeted Britain.

There is nothing gutsy or great about that .... ( many abuses here) ... He is solely responsible for the great Bengal famine which killed millions of Indians.
