Back in the 1850s Brits were young, energetic, vibrant, ambitious, courageous, disciplined, had very high birth rate. Every family had like 4 or 5 kids. Now, Brits have very low birth rate. Mostly are single children. Too precious to go to war. Not a lot of young people. Not a lot of energy.
