Oh great, so it seems that there are people defending a traitor, morons ( :facepalm: )... normally traitors do not have any trails, they are just shot or hang... or some other interesting things are done to them.

Not many people defend Manning, and when they did they just pissed off his Marine guards. Now his lawyer wants charges dropped because the Marines were mean to him. If he pleads guilty to reduced charges, there may be no trial.

Manning acquitted of aiding the enemy in WikiLeaks case

Manning's sentencing hearing is set to begin Wednesday. He still faces a potential 128 years in prison if he receives the maximum sentence for the charges on which he was convicted.
If he receives minimum sentences to run concurrently, he could be released immediately based on time served. I would not be surprised (but not good on predictions). I continue to maintain he was poorly supervised and there was poor security management at the facility where he worked.
