Wing Commander Umar and Flying Officer Israr lost their lives in the incident, PAF officials confirmed to DawnNewsTV.
The accident, according to the Air Force, took place when the aircraft was returning from a routine training mission.
"Pakistan Air Force reports with regret that a PAF FT-7PG trainer aircraft, while recovering from a routine operational training mission, crashed during landing at Peshawar Air Base," the PAF statement reads.

Two air force officers killed in Chinese aircraft crash in Bangladesh

Two pilots died after their training aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force crashed into a water-body in Jessore on Sunday night.
The two pilots were identified as Squadron Leader Mohammad Serajul Islam and Squadron Leader Enayet Kabir Polash, who took off from BAF base Matiur Rahman on night time training.
A high level committee was formed for inquiry, Inter Services Public Relations director Lieutenant Colonel Alamgir Kabir said in a short message.
Jessore police acting superintendent Salauddin Shikdar said that the plane crashed into a wetland in Faridpur area near BAF Training Academy in Jessore district headquarters after 9:00pm.
An official at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport told New Age that Karakorum-8, K-8W for short, lost its communication with air traffic control tower for 15 minutes after 9:00pm and a local person informed the authorities about 9:45pm.
The two-seat intermediate jet trainer and light attack aircraft was designed by Chinese Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation.
This crash occurred just 11 days after the BAF signed a memorandum of understanding with China to procure more K-8s as a part of the implementation of Forces Goal-2030

After a mid-air emergency forced an F-35A fighter jet to return to Eglin Air Force Base, the plane’s landing nose gear collapsed, leaving the 5 generation fighter face down on the runway. F-35 assigned to the 58th Fighter Squadron.The incident happened around 12:50 PM Wednesday.

Among seven people onboard, three managed to escape after the crash and a rescue operation is on for those missing.
The Pakistan Navy has received seven Sea King helicopters from the United Kingdom on 24 May 2017. Contract for their purchase had been signed a year earlier.
While the helicopters have been built by AgustaWestland, a subsidiary of Leonardo, Vector Aerospace is responsible for its maintenance in Pakistan.
The Sea King helicopters have had a troubled history in countries where they have been sold.

Russia thinks they can threaten our ships and not face consequences... think again. Sorry for the loss of life.
I don't think France was in any way responsible or connected with this incident. It was shot down by friendly fire from Syrian air defence equipment when they were defending against an Israeli air raid.
