Arunachal is not an easy place, such accidents do happen in such extreme regions, On Shanti .
Seems like it was another Rudra. Is it just me or Rudra has greater than average crash rates than other ALH versions ?
Unbearable pain truly Unbearable
COuld be possible, but what fantasy weapon are they using to cause this? I feel it might be some geographical related cause insteadThis report says that as many as 7 accidents happened in this place from 2009 onwards. Should we suspect a chinese arm in these accidents? Such a conspiracy theory was discussed in this forum when the Su-30 went down. Due to the Ladakh stand-off, such an angle cannot be ruled out. What do other members say about this? The report says, the pilot had many hours of flying experience. Moreover, the weather wasn't bad. So, in such a scenario, if an experienced pilot had to fail his mission, then there can possibly 2 reasons - 1. An inherent system failure in the chopper that went unnoticed and 2. A real-time sabotage while the aircraft is flying using electro-magnetic jammers that interfere with the aircraft's internal communication system. The second is the possibility I was looking into. Why this option seems so strong to me is that, a military base which has already witnessed one of its choppers going down earlier in this month will not be complacent with the maintenance of its remaining aircrafts.Terrain is difficult along with extreme weather conditions in these parts.
Spatial Disorientation is a real issue for pilots of choppers flying over these conditions/factors.
