Re: Agni 6 ICBM

The A6 will be a DF41 competitor, it will be lighter and have an MIRV ability, we already have the DF31 covered by the A5.
The MT class weapons have been tested in lab simulations, NAMO will probably carry out a hidden test in a third party (read Russian) range aka pakis in lop nor.
No chance of a third party test. Russia won't do that for us. We could do one like Israel did in the Indian Ocean

Given the right amount of money, there is nothing that Russia(read Putin) won't do.

I take it you're talking about the Israeli nuclear test carried out in conjunction with the south Africans called the vela incident. That's going to be very difficult to pull off for us, the only reason the Israelis succeeded is because of tacit complicity of the brits and the yanks with them.

Its not limited to just money. The price Russia will have to pay will be far greater. It will be considered a test by Russia a ratified signatory of CTBT. It will breakdown the moratorium in place on testing even otherwise. Russia won't be able to sustain a renewed nuclear arms race. Sanctions etc. I mean its just not conceivable

On the other hand, it may be easier to pull off a vela like test

Re: Agni 6 ICBM

Putin has not shown a particular regard for international treaties and sanctions till now, as long as the Chinese believe that the test was Russian. Moscow is assured of Chinese support, we can do lip service to the west while not really applying any sanctions. The Russian economy would still have access to the two largest markets in the world. The U.S has almost as much to lose from renewed testing as the Russians, both of them are in financial dire straits.
On the other hand a vela incident type event with Indian military observers and vessels shall be near impossible to hide. Like I said before the only reason the Israelis succeeded was because the brits and yanks wanted them to.

An untested nuke can work. It is riskier but nukes are never tested like conventional weapons. The physics package is always proven on computers. Only detonation and carriage parts are tested repeatedly.

Putin is very smart. And Putin does not work alone. His decisions are based on conclusions of Russian think-tanks. The Russians have drafted a course of action in which China is a key partner. I would like to deflate your bubble but Russia is not at all likely to help India with testing of a nuke.

India does not need this help either.

If India wants to test again, the place is Pokharan or similar, where another underground test can be carried out. However there is no chance of any near term test.

Engineering is not science, in fact Engineering is an advanced form of "Craft" which makes use of Scientific theories and Mathematical Modeling for improvisations.

Had computer simulations been so reliable we won't have any need to test fire those Ballistic Missiles.

Indian nukes will never be able to match the proven UNSC P5 nukes in terms of potency and reliability.

If one can dream then; One day if it ever comes we may become so powerful and self-reliant that no country on Earth will even dare to stop us from finishing our nuclear testing program. Then we overtake P5.:playball:

India is going to have quarter of world's GDP in mid century with way higher defence budget. So, it'll be.

Actually, Russians are very wary of Chinese, because Chinese still have existent claims on large parts of Siberia and Russian Far East. These lands were contested over by the Ming dynasty and the Russians and Mao famously claimed the Russian Far East including Kamchatka peninsula.

At present PRC and Russia are in an alliance of convenience. PRC needs resources, armaments and natural gas and fuel and Russia needs a market. But this is nothing more than transactional relationship, both of them know it.

Engineering is science refined to applications ... Test is nothing more than validation of design.. and without modelling we would probably be having 10 to 15 tests launches not 2 and one user trial..

Both Modelling simulations and actual tests are faces of the same coin

Not necessarily true.

For one thing in our nuclear tests we declared these test openly we could have kept them under wraps all Western Chinese spying would have only created ambiguity.
Without our declaration no one could have been sure about our testing.
(These morons still bitch about the yields though :biggrin2:)

And that's when we were under the lens.

So for scientific purposes we can conduct more test clandestinely. Declaration was only a strategic necessity not scientific.

Similarly delivery systems are maturing everyday. If high yield thermal weapons can be tested openly some low yield nuclear devices could easily substitute them again without any one having a clue.

Our scientist were smart enough to fool both US and PRC while going nuclear.
They are still smart enough to land on Mars without even a proper launcher for the purpose. Let's not doubt our own genius.:india:

One bad thing would have occurred if we wouldn't have tested.
We wouldn't have become sure about testing and other nations would be trolling us for not having.

We had to test absolutely. I am just emphasising that testing and declaring are two different things and can have different objectives :cowboy:

Let's say today we test a nuke and don't declare no one can surely know what the hell we did:biggrin2:

Who knows even what's going on.
In 2000s, India was known to have most of capabilities for sub critical testing, today it must hav achieved.
I thought, if wr were best friends of DPRK (North Korea) and could test our nukes there.
