Can anyone tell me Why
Agni-4 Flight altitude is 900 KM
and Agni-5 Flight altitude is 600 KM
i thought less flight altitude would have less range but here its reciprocal.:help:
A4 will be our ASAT and A5 will be our ICBM.................:thumb:

Surprise China official reaction ? :

Beijing did not immediately comment on the launch, but state-owned China Central Television (CCTV) said the test was "a historic moment for India and it shows that India has joined the club of the countries that own ballistic missiles", Associated Press reported.

CCTV listed some of the missile's shortcomings and said "it does not pose a threat in reality".
yes they are right our weapons for defence not for first use .

we want peace with all countries :)

congratulation drdo for making this missile and testing it successfully.

though this missile is need of the hour but still its like other agni missile *barring agni 4* , simply too big and bulky.

still if they can make this they will surely develop something better in future

I wonder how much money China will pay to be called a non threat to the global peace.

Very well done to Indian Scientists today. A red letter day indeed.

I remember the advert from Doordarshan with Rajiv Gandhi's photo and a statement - Agni ka safal parikshan rashtra ki aazadi surakhsa ki oar a mahatvapurna kadam hai.

Well we have reached there havent we?

I remember that statement from 1988 or may be 1990.

Well done, a proud day to be Indian.

And Blackwater you are funny....Agnipath..... :hah hah.

BJP hails Agni-5 launch as proud milestone
Thursday, April 19th 2012, 04:57 PM

New Delhi, April 19 — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Thursday 'hailed' the successful launch of the Agni-5 missile.

Party president Nitin Gadkari said in a statement that the launch had raised India to the 'elite club of nations'.

He also congratulated scientists of the Defence Research and Development Organisation(DRDO), calling the feat a 'proud milestone in the security of the nation since India has now become a missile power'.

The long-range nuclear-capable ballistic Agni-V missile can hit targets 5,000 km away. It was launched from Wheeler Island off the Odisha coast.

India missile: Successful test launch of nuclear missile that could hit Africa or Eastern Europe | Mail Online

Big deal, its all copied tech from either Russia or the west. India is as bad as China for copying/stealing technology.

"$500 million Agni V missile is to turn India into Asia's main superpower" It was only last week that we were condemning the DPRK for launching, rather attempting to launch, a missile. Now herein lies the issue; the Indian's, much like North Korea, have a populace who are starving hungry and are in desperate need of attention - that attention being food and money, not Nuclear weapons. I'm interested in what the Wests' reaction will be to this launch and whether the leftist media will emphasise the amount of starving people in India like they did with the DPRK. Personally, in terms of both economic and military power, China has, and always will have, the upper hand versus India.

Tell me what is the difference between North Korea testing a rocket and India testing a rocket.

- Malthus , Blackburn, 18/4/2012 23:54
Oh please, India a super power? they need to get their priorities right and sort out their human rights issues amongst other problems like corruption stemming from their own government. This is beyond a joke and shows how they use the aid money given by us here, it obviously isn't going to the people who genuinely need help.

- asian, Bucks, 18/4/2012 23:52
Instead of western countries supplying India with armaments they should impose sanctions on the country to get rid of these weapons or better still bomb their military installations like we are proposing dong to Iran.

- Des, Cardiff, 19/4/2012 15:22
Can we send observers? afterall England is paying for it thanks to all the 'aid' we are stupidly giving them.

- John Bailey, Preston EUSSR, 18/4/2012 22:37
:bplease:

The British people looted INDIA for 200 years and now these idiots are talking about human rights violation committed by INDIA. Bunch of lunatics and our Finance Minister already said that the aid given by the British is like peanuts. Lots of racism in England and they are talking about human rights and also poor guys lacking jobs and are not able to live up to the standards of INDIANS who are getting jobs in England because of lower skill levels and are not allowing INDIANS and they say that we are poverty striken. Fools, nothing but an entire country of fools...........

India test fires Agni 5 missile intercontinental ballistic missile – range 5000 km . Agni 5 missile test treats Australia . Because India sees a lot of free land in Australia . Agni 5 missile also balances a little balance of power between India and china . Pakistan is already in target with Indian missiles so that test don't effect Pakistan much
