MEXICANS plan to take a leaf out of outspoken Donald Trump’s book of wisdom – and build a wall to keep migrants out.

They are calling for a huge border barricade to keep out Guatemalans, Salvadorans and Hondurans fleeing violence in their homelands.

They complain ‘swathes of illegals pass through their country on their way to a new life in the United States.

However once they arrive in the US they are quickly deported back to Mexico rather than their home countries.

Central American migrants are left stuck in border cities with Mexican officials unable to afford to send them back to their own countries, according to an article in the El Mañana newspaper titled: ‘Yes to the Border Wall … but in Mexico’s South.’

Trump sparked international outrage last year when he unveiled his idea for a giant wall on the US border with Mexico – which he claimed Mexico would pay for.

But while Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto has mocked Trump’s plans, many Mexicans praised the concept of a border wall.

Hidden under bonnets and sewn into car seats - the steps illegal immigrants take to get into U.S. revealed

“Trump’s idea of a border wall is a good one but it should be on the southern border with Central America in order to stop the flow of Central Americans from entering both countries,” the El Mañana board wrote in July.

The paper also called for proper immigration checkpoints on the southern border.

The newspaper says that many illegal immigrants turn to crime as shelters can often only provide a few days of food and bedding.

“Many of these migrants when they are unable to find an honest way of life turn to robberies, kidnappings, extortion, and in the worst cases join the ranks of organised crime,” El Mañana’s piece claimed.

It's claimed 'hordes' of immigrants are flooding the country on the way to the US
Most are fleeing violence and gangs in their home countries yet most immigrants eventually end up back where they started at home.

Mexico deported 175,000 Central Americans last year - a massive 68 per cent increase from 2014.

That was the same year that the Central American refugee crisis hit headlines when thousands of migrant children arrived without their families at the US border.

The US has sent £50m for equipment and training to Mexico to help with the crackdown on immigrants.

Netherlands government to counter Trump abortion funding ban

The Netherlands is to set up an international fund to support abortion services hit by President Donald Trump's order to cut US foreign aid.

Lilianne Ploumen, a Dutch minister, said it would set up "a well-financed fund" to allow other governments, businesses and charities to donate.

The Netherlands would do everything in its power to help women "remain in control of their own bodies", she said.

President Trump ordered a ban on US aid to support abortion services overseas.

For decades, it has been the case that no US money can be spent on overseas abortions.

But on Monday, the president signed an executive order - known as the global gag rule - which takes that a step further, prohibiting organisations that receive US family planning assistance from using non-US funding to provide abortion services, information, counselling or referrals.

Mrs Ploumen, the Dutch minister for foreign trade and development co-operation, said the Dutch government was aiming to support groups that could be affected.

She said banning abortions would not result in fewer take place, but rather it would lead to "more irresponsible practices in back rooms and more maternal deaths".

"The Netherlands has been very active in promoting sexual and reproductive rights for women," she told the BBC.

"This executive order of President Trump makes it impossible for organisations not only to deliver the service of safe abortions, but also to give sexuality education, to promote contraceptives and make sure that people have access to contraceptives, so the impact is huge on the lives of women and children."

She said the response both in the Netherlands and internationally had been "very positive".

"Obviously, the Netherlands cannot do this by ourselves, we need support," she added.

"Other governments, foundations, but many, many citizens have approached me and said let us know how we can contribute.

"In the Netherlands, I would suggest that there is firm support for the rights of women and girls - and there is a lot of support of promoting, but also protecting those rights."

'Repressing women'
The US funding ban - known as "the Mexico City policy" - was first created in 1984 by President Ronald Reagan.

The policy was rescinded by the Clinton administration, before being reinstated under President George W Bush.

In 2009, Barack Obama again ended it.

Pro-choice groups have criticised the decision by President Trump, saying the move was "repressing women".

During the presidential campaign, his team said he believed decisions on the legality of the procedure should be left up to individual states in the US, with any criminal penalties being reserved for abortion providers.

He has said he personally supports an abortion ban exception for "rape, incest and the life of the mother".

Congress won't never let Trump undo Nafta ... this is crazyness. I am afraid President Trump will have to wake up soon and leave its alternate reality bubble.

Mexico is already a very important part of the industrial supply chain worldwide. It is not something that you can undo in a matter of months, not even years !

There is a problem here. Trump says he will tax 20% on mexican imports to build the wall. That amounts to only a few million dollars per week. If mexico threatens to impose 20% tax on american imports, that amounts to 250 million dollars a week.

Trump will lose that card there.

Judge halts implementation of Trump's immigration order

Please read the article. The title may not accurately reflect the reality.

That is true. CNN really is becoming Buzzfeed with its clickbaity titles. All the judges have done is give some respite to permanent-residents.

On a side note, SA and Pakistan not being in the list of 'banned' country is hilarious.

Agreed. That is why it is better to read the original order.

To your second point, even Saudi Arabia and Qatar, the two suspected financiers of ISIS, have been kept out. I wonder why?

I think US is in the middle of shifting it's energy reliance from Middle East to Russia, if this happens, it will the biggest change in geopolitics since WW2. Maybe, then they will target SA and the lackeys. Not to mention, the Brexit and Trump being anti-NATO.

It is interesting to think about though, what kind of world are we looking at in the aftermath?

A bi-polar: USA + UK + Russia | China-block(includes Pakistan and Middle-East)
A tri-polar: USA + Russia + UK | EU | China-block

Where do India and Australia fit in?

@pmaitra Are you following the news about the airport protests? He's even banning greencard holders from entering. Sheer lunacy, I don't have a lot of sympathy for the Muslims but how long till Indians are banned as well (India doesn't cooperate with deportations and take back its citizens, I don't remember the exact details but Trump wants countries like India punished).

Back to the dark days of Japanese internment in WW2

Bullshit about India being punished. Smoke your liberal weed elsewhere. All trump said refugees and applicants from war torn/ suspect countries can't get in till they are vetted. These chaps tend to be highly combustible.

In other news Saudi Arabia centre of Islam refuses to house refugees in A/C, fully furnished, plumbing ready tents numbering 100000 which can hold 3,000,000 refugees. They say that it will affect their culture and want western nations to clean up their mess.

Who's the hypocrite now?

I'm not a liberal first of all, you should learn how to show some respect before running your little mouth like an ass. I don't have a problem with refugees and visa applicants, however he has said that he is extending his executive order to legal permanent residents. This is an alarming overreach of his constitutional authority.

As for punishing India, he has been talking about going after the 20 countries that refuse to cooperate with deportations and India is on that list. I doubt he'll punish India to the same extent as the Muslim countries but who knows with the way this insane man has been functioning.

Cool, so why haven't they been banned?

Interestingly countries of 9-11 and boston bombers and major terror exporters aren't banned, i.e. PAK, KSA etc.
