Guys,
We were never dependent on the British but occupied by them. So don't you think that the term "Independence" day is wrong ?? We got freedom from the British and so shouldn't 15th Aug be called the day of "Freedom" rather than the Independence day ? By that logic the Republic day is the Independence day because :-
आतà¥à¤®à¤¨à¤¿à¤°à¥à¤à¤°à¤¤à¤¾ = independence (we got through the constitution),
आज़ादी = सà¥à¤µà¤¤à¤‚तà¥à¤°à¤¤à¤¾ = freedom (we got when the British left us).
What say?
