Manafort has deeper and more formal ties to Reagan and yet we are now knowing the depth of his ties to Russia's man in Ukraine and even has business ties to Russian billionaire close to Putin.

The latest revelation about Trump's campaign chief:

“From Russia with Money: Hillary Clinton, the Russian Reset, and Cronyism” by the non-partisan government watchdog group, the Government Accountability Institute (GAI). Breitbart Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon holds the same title in GAI and Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer serves as GAI’s president.

Both the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal ran stories on the newly released report late Sunday evening.

As part of her duties during the so-called Russian reset, then-Sec. of State Hillary Clinton led the way on U.S. involvement in a Russian government technology initiative that was intended to be the Russian equivalent of America’s Silicon Valley known as Skolkovo. The “innovation city,” located outside Moscow, has some 30,000 workers in state-of-the-art facilities under strict government control. As Slate described it in 2013, “In some ways, Skolkovo is eerily reminiscent of Soviet utopian city-building projects.”

According to the GAI report, Clinton’s State Dept. recruited U.S. tech giants like Google, Cisco, Intel. Indeed, out of 28 U.S., European, and Russian companies that participated in Skolkovo, 17 of them were Clinton Foundation donors or paid for speeches by Bill Clinton.

However, as involvement in Skolkovo by Clinton cronies increased, so, too, did the danger for the technology coming out of the Russian tech mecca to be used for Russian military purposes.

In 2014, the FBI issued what it called “an extraordinary warning” to several technology companies involved with Skolkovo. “The [Skolkovo] foundation may be a means for the Russian government to access our nation’s sensitive or classified research development facilities and dual-use technologies with military and commercial application,” warned Lucia Ziobro, the assistant special agent at the FBI’s Boston office. She added: “The FBI believes the true motives of the Russian partners, who are often funded by the government, is to gain access to classified, sensitive, and emerging technology from the companies.”

Still, Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta sat on the executive board of a small energy company called Joule Unlimited. Joule, too, received the FBI letter warning about Skolkovo. Other Joule board members included senior Russian officials. According to the GAI report: “Two months after Podesta joined the board, Vladimir Putin’s Rusnano announced that it would invest up to one billion rubles into Joule Unlimited, which amounts to $35 million. That represents one-fifth of the entire amount of investment dollars Joule collected from 2007 to 2013.”

Rusnano, which former Russian education and science minister and current science advisor to Vladmir Putin Andrei Fursenko describes as “Putin’s child,” was founded by Putin in 2007.

The GAI investigative report says it’s unclear how much, if any, money Podesta made. The reason: Podesta was on the board of three Joule entities, but only listed two on his disclosure; the most important entity, Joule Stichting, he did not list. “Podesta’s compensation by Joule cannot be fully determined,” reads the report. “In his 2014 federal government disclosure filing, Podesta lists that he divested stock options from Joule. However, the disclosure does not cover the years 2011-2012.”

Why Podesta failed to reveal, as required by law on his federal financial disclosures, his membership on the board of this offshore company is presently unknown.

“But the flows of funds from Russia during the ‘reset’ to Podesta-connected entities apparently didn’t end with Joule Energy,” the report states. According to the GAI report, Podesta’s far-left think tank, Center for American Progress (CAP), took in $5.25 million from the Sea Change Foundation between 2010-2013.

Who was funding Sea Change Foundation? According to tax records, Sea Change Foundation at the time was receiving a large infusion of funds from a mysterious Bermuda-based entity called ‘Klein, Ltd.’…Who owns Klein? It is impossible to say exactly, given corporate secrecy laws in Bermuda. But the registered agent and lawyers who set up the offshore entity are tied to a handful of Russian business entities including Troika Dialog, Ltd. Leadership includes Ruben Vardanyan, an ethnic Armenian who is a mega oligarch in Putin’s Russia. Vardanyan also served on the board of Joule Energy with John Podesta.

The FBI and U.S. Army sounded the alarm bells about Skolkovo being a threatening pathway for Russia to accelerate its military technological capabilities. Why Hillary Clinton’s State Dept and her campaign manager were tied up in this raises serious questions that demand answers and transparency.

Hillary Clinton touts her tenure as secretary of state as a time of hardheaded realism and “commercial diplomacy” that advanced American national and commercial interests. But her handling of a major technology transfer initiative at the heart of Washington’s effort to “reset” relations with Russia raises serious questions about her record. Far from enhancing American national interests, Mrs. Clinton’s efforts in this area may have substantially undermined U.S. national security.

Consider Skolkovo, an “innovation city” of 30,000 people on the outskirts of Moscow, billed as Russia’s version of Silicon Valley—and a core piece of Mrs. Clinton’s quarterbacking of the Russian reset.

Following his 2009 visit to Moscow, President Obama announced the creation of the U.S.-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission. Mrs. Clinton as secretary of state directed the American side, and Foreign MinisterSergei Lavrov represented the Russians. The stated goal at the time: “identifying areas of cooperation and pursuing joint projects and actions that strengthen strategic stability, international security, economic well-being, and the development of ties between the Russian and American people.”

The Kremlin committed $5 billion over three years to fund Skolkovo. Mrs. Clinton’s State Department worked aggressively to attract U.S. investment partners and helped the Russian State Investment Fund, Rusnano, identify American tech companies worthy of Russian investment. Rusnano, which a scientificadviser to President Vladimir Putin called “Putin’s child,” was created in 2007 and relies entirely on Russianstate funding.

What could possibly go wrong?

RELATED ARTICLES

Soon, dozens of U.S. tech firms, including top Clinton Foundation donors like Google, Intel and Cisco, made major financial contributions to Skolkovo, with Cisco committing a cool $1 billion. In May 2010, the State Department facilitated a Moscow visit by 22 of the biggest names in U.S. venture capital—and weeks later the first memorandums of understanding were signed by Skolkovo and American companies.

By 2012 the vice president of the Skolkovo Foundation, Conor Lenihan—who had previously partnered with the Clinton Foundation—recorded that Skolkovo had assembled 28 Russian, American and European “Key Partners.” Of the 28 “partners,” 17, or 60%, have made financial commitments to the Clinton Foundation, totaling tens of millions of dollars, or sponsored speeches by Bill Clinton.

Russians tied to Skolkovo also flowed funds to the Clinton Foundation. Andrey Vavilov, the chairman of SuperOx, which is part of Skolkovo’s nuclear-research cluster, donated between $10,000 and $25,000 (donations are reported in ranges, not exact amounts) to the Clinton’s family charity. Skolkovo Foundation chief and billionaire Putin confidant Viktor Vekselberg also gave to the Clinton Foundation through his company, Renova Group.

Amid all the sloshing of Russia rubles and American dollars, however, the state-of-the-art technological research coming out of Skolkovo raised alarms among U.S. military experts and federal law-enforcement officials. Research conducted in 2012 on Skolkovo by the U.S. Army Foreign Military Studies Program at Fort Leavenworth declared that the purpose of Skolkovo was to serve as a “vehicle for world-wide technology transfer to Russia in the areas of information technology, biomedicine, energy, satellite and space technology, and nuclear technology.”

Moreover, the report said: “the Skolkovo Foundation has, in fact, been involved in defense-related activities since December 2011, when it approved the first weapons-related project—the development of a hypersonic cruise missile engine. . . . Not all of the center’s efforts are civilian in nature.”

Technology can have multiple uses—civilian and military. But in 2014 the Boston Business Journal ran anop-ed placed by the FBI, and noted that the agency had sent warnings to technology and other companies approached by Russian venture-capital firms. The op-ed—under the byline of Lucia Ziobro, an assistant special agent at the FBI’s Boston office—said that “The FBI believes the true motives of the Russian partners, who are often funded by their government, is to gain access to classified, sensitive, and emerging technology from the companies.”

Ms. Ziobro also wrote that “The [Skolkovo] foundation may be a means for the Russian government to access our nation’s sensitive or classified research development facilities and dual-use technologies with military and commercial application.”

To anyone who was paying attention, the FBI’s warnings should have come as little surprise. A State Department cable sent to then-Secretary Clinton (and obtained via WikiLeaks) mentioned possible “dual use and export control concerns” related to research and development technology ventures with Moscow. And in its own promotional literature Skolkovo heralded the success of its development of the Atlant hybrid airship.

“Particularly noteworthy is Atlant’s ability to deliver military cargoes,” boasts the Made in Skolkovo publication: “The introduction of this unique vehicle is fully consistent with the concept of creating a mobile army and opens up new possibilities for mobile use of the means of radar surveillance, air and missile defense, and delivery of airborne troops.”

Even if it could be proven that these tens of millions of dollars in Clinton Foundation donations by Skolkovo’s key partners played no role in the Clinton State Department’s missing or ignoring obvious red flags about the Russian enterprise, the perception would still be problematic. (Neither the Clinton campaign nor the Clinton Foundation responded to requests for comment.) What is known is that the State Department recruited and facilitated the commitment of billions of American dollars in the creation of a Russian “Silicon Valley” whose technological innovations include Russian hypersonic cruise-missile engines, radar surveillance equipment, and vehicles capable of delivering airborne Russian troops.

A Russian reset, indeed.

This is reminiscent of the 2012 debates we have here between Obama and Romney. Well we know how that one ended up...

Trump Campaign Assumed Indian-American Supporter Was A Protester, Tossed Him Out Of Rally

Anantha, who was wearing a Trump T-shirt and had stationed himself behind the stage in the Charlotte Convention Center, protested ― to no avail ― that he supported the GOP presidential nominee.
Anantha said he felt singled out for the color of his skin, since he saw throngs of white people being allowed to enter after he was ejected.
I thought (Trump) was for all people. I don’t believe he is for all people anymore,” he told the Observer. “Why are all these white people allowed to attend and I’m not?”
Anantha, whose grandparents immigrated to the United States from India, recalled defending Trump to critics, claiming the candidate’s offensive rhetoric was an appropriate way to express frustration with unauthorized immigration and jihadism.
Now Anantha may cast the first presidential vote of his life for Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson.

Is this bloke who I think he is...? Anyway, what was he thinking joining a Trump rally...? Good he was only escorted out not raked with gunshots from the "2nd Amendment white guys" at Trump rallies armed with AR-15s... :pound:

Melania Trump threatens to sue news outlets

Trump, the wife of the Republican presidential nominee, has placed The Daily Mail and other news organizations "on notice... for making false and defamatory statements about her supposedly having been an 'escort' in the 1990s," Charles Harder, a lawyer for Trump, said in a statement.
The notices come just three days after The Daily Mail, a UK publication, published a report citing a story in a Slovenian magazine that claimed a New York modeling agency that once represented Trump "also operated as an escort agency for wealthy clients." That report was then picked up or referenced by other news outlets.
The outlets that have been put on notice by Melania Trump include The Daily Mail, The Week, Politico, Inquisitr, Tarpley, Before It's News, Liberal America, LawNewz, Winning Democrats and Bipartisan Report, Harder told CNNMoney.
On Monday, both Inquisitr and Bipartisan Report published retractions and full-throated apologies for citing the Daily Mail report. Donald Trump tweeted links to both retractions.
Legal experts say The Daily Mail is more vulnerable to defamation charges because it is based in the United Kingdom, where libel laws tend to favor the plaintiff: In the U.S. the burden is on Trump to prove the statement false, while in the UK the burden would be on the Daily Mail to prove it was true, legal experts said.

Clinton leads Trump by 10 in national poll

Hillary Clinton has opened up a 10-point national lead over Donald Trump in the Quinnipiac University poll of likely voters out Thursday, the latest sign of the Democratic nominee's sturdy momentum as Trump wades through self-inflicted controversies.
Clinton’s double-digit lead, more than double her previous weekly RealClearPolitics average of 5 points, comes even as the Democratic nominee faced renewed scrutiny over the connections between her family’s foundation and her work as secretary of state.

]Donald Trump Spoils Ann Coulter’s ‘In Trump We Trust’ Book Launch

Donald Trump Spoils Ann Coulter’s ‘In Trump We Trust’ Book Launch
There’s nothing Trump can do that won’t be forgiven,” she wrote in her book. “Except change his immigration policies.”
Trump did just that on Wednesday night with a plan to offer legal status to undocumented immigrants, an announcement that came the very same night Coulter held her book launch party.

If you cannot find this funny then you have no sense of humor...:pound:

I am looking for a documentary this guy has done, "Hillary's America : the secret history of the democratic party".
Funny enough there is no link to this documentary both paid and unpaid. It's quite rare that atleast one copy should be floating some where, especially since this is a propaganda video.

i would say too effectively blocked.

If anyone has found any links, let me know...

US presidential elections 2016 poll tracker: Latest Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton figures and forecasts

25 August 2016 • 10:50am

The clash between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is set to be brutal, with America being dominated by the race to replace Barack Obama in the White House.

Until election day on 8 November, follow our poll tracker to keep on track on with who's top. It takes an average of the last five polls published on RealClearPolitics.

19 May 2016 was the first time that Republican Donald Trump pulled ahead of Democrat Hillary Clinton in the average of national polls. He was 0.2 percentage points ahead of Clinton on May 22, leading to some claiming "it's probably time to panic" - although the next poll put Clinton back ahead.

Clinton had held a lengthy double-digit lead over Trump, who was once a Republican outsider. This has been eroded by the popularity of Trump, although it has somewhat opened up again after she secured a pledge to work together from her Democrat rival, Senator Bernie Sanders.

Trump's polling had previously drawn close to Clinton's during last October, as his appearance on Saturday Night Live coincided with Clinton facing pressure in a trial on the deaths of four Americans in Libya in 2012.

Following a series of gaffes by Trump, the Republican nominee has seen Clinton get ahead in the polls again, now maintaining around a six point lead.

A word of caution, however: polling so far away from the election is unlikely to be reflective of the final score. A lot can change.

At this stage of the race in 2004, as Nate Silver notes, John Kerry had a similar lead over George W Bush as Clinton's current lead over Trump.

The New York Times has also worked out that, at the the convention stage, a simple polling average has differed from the final result by about nine percentage points. So, with the polls being so close, anything could still happen.

US Election 2016: Democrats primaries map
Why are the US election polls so close?
One of the reasons that the polls had been closing is that the Republicans were rallying behind Trump. This has since been put under jeopardy, as a couple of big party figures refused to endorse the nominee.

Meanwhile, a recent YouGov poll showed that just over half of supporters of Bernie Sanders - Clinton's Democratic rival - would back Clinton.

Sanders also polled better against Trump than Clinton, while he was still in the race. 61 per cent of his backers viewed Mrs Clinton unfavourably, while 72 per cent say she is "not honest and trustworthy".

Despite this, Sanders has pledged his support for the victorious Democrat nominee, saying: "This campaign is not about Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders or any other candidate who is standing for president. This campaign is about the needs of the American people."

Still, Clinton holds a big demographic advantage over Trump. A Washington Post poll indicated that 69 per cent of non-whites and 52 per cent women favour Clinton, while 57 per cent of whites and men support Trump.

US Election 2016: Republicans primaries map
What about the American states?
When it comes to the final presidential race, the Democrat and Republican candidates will go head to head to win the 50 American states. Each state has a certain number of electoral college votes based on population.

This system matters, as the popular vote is less important than the electoral college vote. If Clinton's campaign is buoyed by big Democratic states such as New York, New Jersey, Illinois and California, these populous states could lead her to victory.

For example, in 2008, Barack Obama won 53 per cent of the vote - but this led to 68 per cent of the electoral college vote. Such highly populated states played a large role when they backed the current president.

Swing states - states that regularly switch between Democrat and Republican between elections - are also important.

States like Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and West Virginia have the power to swing the election. So far, neither Trump nor Clinton has a significant lead in these crucial states.

Trump Goes Back To Original Immigration Position With Second 180 Flip
DES MOINES, Iowa – Donald Trump’s experiment with “softening” his immigration policy came to a dramatic end Saturday in a fairgrounds livestock pavilion, with the Republican presidential nominee promising deportations within an hour of his inauguration.
“We are going to rid of the criminals, and it’s going to happen within one hour after I take office,” he said. “We will move justly, but we will move fast. Believe me.”

Trump might already be out of time

Donald Trump and his new team think they have 73 days to turn this campaign around. They’re wrong.
Trump may not have that kind of time. Early voting begins in 28 days in Minnesota and in 32 other states soon after that. And already as summer inches to its end, 90 percent of Americans say they’ve decided. For all the televised daily drama this race has provided, the final outcome itself is shaping up to be less dramatic than any presidential election since 1984.
“Kellyanne is good at this, but she’s got a very damaged candidate and it’s very late in the game,” said Tony Fratto, a GOP operative in Washington and former deputy press secretary to President George W. Bush. “I think it’s too late, in fact. I don’t believe he can change. All of this is trying to trick voters into thinking there is a better Donald Trump out there. There is no better Donald Trump.”

FBI: Foreign hackers broke into state election systems

Hackers based outside the United States have broken into two state election databases in recent weeks, according to a report from Yahoo News, which on Monday revealed a "flash" alert sent earlier this month by the FBI's Cyber Division.
The bulletin reported that the FBI had received information about separate IP addresses attempting to hack into two different states' Board of Election websites. The document itself does not disclose which states were affected, although Yahoo News' Michael Isikoff cited "sources familiar with the document" as saying they are Arizona and Illinois. Yahoo reported that the Illinois hacking was more serious, forcing officials to shut down the voter registration system for 10 days in July, while the Arizona intrusion did not appear to be as successful.
