the question of US invasion does not arise, by end of dec 1st week Nixon was told by his advisors, Pakistan will loose the war.Semi popular Opinion: If US tried to Invade India in 1971, they would’ve gotten such a bloody nose that their whole country might end up collapsing.
Even then, Nixon and his buddies were bootlickers of Pakistan.the question of US invasion does not arise, by end of dec 1st week Nixon was told by his advisors, Pakistan will loose the war.
everything else is just Cold War politics.
there is a thread on Nixon files, you check there if you need proof.
this hypocrisy has been pointed out by EAM Jaishankar many times in his speeches. It’s not like this has not been conveyed to muricans.Even then, Nixon and his buddies were bootlickers of Pakistan.
They were busy trying to impose their little “democratic values” on the world while saying “Communsists are evil”, even though they themsleves supported a Military dictatorship against the worlds biggest democracy in 71. Their politics are two faced and hypocritical.
Actually it’s not.this hypocrisy has been pointed out by EAM Jaishankar many times in his speeches. It’s not like this has not been conveyed to muricans.
he took the example of Pakistan and myanmar.
US education system is a gone case in non-technical fields.Actually it’s not.
As someone who resides in America, we are taught that this was the “biggest democracy in the world”, and it’s involvement with Pakistan is literally erased in its history books.
AgreedUS education system is a gone case in non-technical fields.
I am putting forth Indian perspective not American.
we are very much aware of American exceptionalism.
No one invades population as big as India. USA was tought a lesson of their lives by Vietnam backed by Russia. Same semi proxy alliance would have applied here as well. Also India played a very safe and clinical game and tried not to overtly agitate USA. But we were ready, nonetheless. Whether it had gone bankrupt or collapsed can not be said. They had far more deeper pockets and their civilisational brothers to help.Semi popular Opinion: If US tried to Invade India in 1971, they would’ve gotten such a bloody nose that their whole country might end up collapsing.
