An70 is obviously much lighter than IL476 and Y20..
You know why don't you? It hides well in China's smog.
smh... Its just so obvious you have never been to China. In the lala land you live in, is smog black? And in that fantasy land, would hiding a giant black transport jet in a haze of white Beijing smog actually work?
China's smog is charcoal grey, just like the paint job.
It is so obvious you have never been to China.
So you're going to compare that smog, with the almost black, grey of the Y20? Wouldn't the standard grey of USAF C17's camouflage better in smog?
You know what, don't answer that, rather post something useful Armand, your childish taunts are only succeeding in making me pity you...
New Photos of Y-20
I was expecting China to develop something in class of C-17 not in one they already have.
Y20 ' s payload is 60t for now,and will be 76t after equiped new engines.
C-17 ' payload is 78t.
y-20 and j-20 is a great step forward for chinese aviation industry.but they should also concentrate on high performance jet engines.
Engines are coming, we will see more and more planes equip engines from WS family.
We are testing the WS 20 for Y 20.
WS20 has been fit on the IL76 Engine Testbed for quite a while...this was taken months ago before the maiden flight of Y20.
WS20' model used to be briefly displayed publicly in Airshow Beijing 2009 as SF-A
these two are both the official Souvenirs from the AVIC group
the old one
the latest one
the CG comparation
Well... Yeah! It is the same colour. No, C-17 grey would stick out too much. Their smog is lighter than Chinese charcoal air.
different subsystems like different turbofan jet engines are also developed.
a common practice. you never expect to see everything get finished at the same time when building sophisticated modern weapons.
just like when you started with tejas you didnt have new engine or radar or what so ever besides the design and then if every thing goes well major sub systems come later on. its not unusual even if some dont come finally so you still rely on foreign tech.
Y20 recently conducted another flight test... waiting on more pictures...
