Full-scale war would be fought at Israel’s borders by Iran ‘ proxies in Syria and Lebanon. But there is always the possibility of further escalation with ballistic missiles fired from Iran at Israel or Israeli air strikes on Iranian soil.
Full-scale war, meaning war, using the full resources of the state, against the standing armies of another country,as in the 6 Day War Yon Kippur War? We haven't even seen suggested the limited use of ground troops,in a punitive action ,as in the 2006 Lebanon conflicts.

As far as i can see some rockets or artillery shells are being tossed over the border into Israel ,by which group, we do not as for yet know, and Israel using Syria for bombing runs,as it has been doing for years.

Much touted russian pantisr air defence system blown away by Israeli missile o_O
It sure is Pantsir.

Looking at the video shows that vehicle is stationary and some folks standing near it.

Maybe crew were not operating it. Or maybe Israel figured a way to jam the Greyhound radar.

Whatever the case is this is a clean kill. Round one goes to Israel. Kudos to Israeli air force

  • At least 12 pro-government fighters who are reportedly foreigners, were killed in a series of overnight airstrikes in eastern Syria.

BEIRUT: At least 12 pro-government fighters who are reportedly foreigners, were killed in a series of overnight airstrikes in eastern Syria, said a war-monitoring group on Thursday. The Syrian government-run media blamed the strikes on the US-led coalition fighting Daesh.

In Damascus, the SANA news agency said coalition aircraft struck military positions between the towns of Boukamal and Hmeimeh in Deir Ezzor province. It did not report any casualties.

Syrian Observatory, which tracks the war through a network of activists on the ground, said the fatalities were not Syrian nationals but foreign fighters. It said the coalition was likely behind the strikes.

The Pentagon said it had “no information” to substantiate reports the coalition was behind the latest airstrikes.
Syria’s government forces have relied on the support from the other regional militias, organized by Iran to wage war on Syrian rebels and Daesh militants.

Their reach in Syria has alarmed the Trump administration in Washington , which say that Iran’s expansive networks in the war-torn country threaten Israel.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, days after President Donald Trump revoked America’s participation in the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, has threatened Iran with the “strongest sanctions in history” unless Tehran withdraws all its forces from Syria and terminates its support for Iranian Militias .

Iran has dismissed those threats, saying its forces are in Syria at the invitation of President Bashar Assad’s government.

The strikes targeted “movements” of pro-government forces, near the T2 oil pumping station, the Observatory said.

In February, coalition forces struck pro-government forces in eastern Syria that the US said had attacked US-backed Kurdish forces battling IS militants. It was later revealed the fatalities included a number of Russian private contractors. Russia is a key ally to Assad.

The Iraqi air force is also known to strike targets in eastern Syria. Prime Minister Haidar Al-Abadi has said it is part of his country’s effort to defeat Daesh militants at its borders, after the government declared it had defeated the jihadist group inside Iraq last year.

The United States, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Qatar bombed government facilities in April in retaliation for a suspected gas attack blamed on Assad’s forces.

Earlier this month, Israel bombed Iranian military positions in Syria in what it said was retaliation for Iranian strikes on the occupied Golan Heights. Israel called it its most serious operation in Syria since the 1973 Mideast war.

Iraq carries out more air strikes against Daesh in Syria

  • At least 65 senior Daesh leaders live in Hajjin.
  • Hajjin is in Deir Ezzor province in eastern Syria, about 50 kilometers (just over 30 miles) from Iraq’s border.
BAGHDAD: Iraq announced Friday it had carried out air strikes against Daesh in Syria, the third cross border aerial operation inside a month in its war-torn neighbor.

“Iraqi F-16 planes carried out (Thursday) morning raids against the headquarters of Daesh terrorist gang leaders and an explosives depot occupied by terrorists in Syria’s Hajjin region,” a statement by Iraq’s operations command said.

A video released with the text shows a strike on a huge building surrounded by palm trees and a wall.
The images show the wall and the building collapsing simultaneously.

Several strikes have been carried out by Iraq or the international coalition since Thursday against the center of Hajjin, the last major area held by Daesh in Syria, said the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor.

At least 65 senior Daesh leaders live in Hajjin, the Observatory’s director Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP.
Hajjin is in Deir Ezzor province in eastern Syria, about 50 kilometers (just over 30 miles) from Iraq’s border.

It has been surrounded since the end of 2017 by the Syrian Democratic Forces, an alliance of Kurdish and Arab fighters backed by the United States and France, Abdel Rahman said.

Several hundred prisoners are still held by the militants in Hajjin, he added.

Since April, Iraq’s air force has carried out several air strikes on Daesh held Syrian territory close to the border between the two countries.

Daesh seized a third of Iraq in 2014, before the government declared victory in December, but the military has continued regular operations along the porous Syrian border.

Pics: New Syrian Air Defense System Near Occupied Golan Heights
SYRIA NEWS
On Jun 12, 2018

The Syrian Army has recently deployed the new Russian-made short rang air defense system of “Pantsir s1”, near the occupied Golan Heights.

This surprise move by the Syrian military comes amid full mobilization to retake back the southern provinces of Daraa and Al-Quneitra, after completely securing the capital.

Military experts told Muraselon that the recent Syrian Army deploying air-defense is to repel any possible Israeliairstrikes during the ground operation in the southern provinces.

Furthermore, the government forces initiated – few days ago – three-axes military operation to finish ISIS presence in Northeast As-Suwaida province.

Since the 1967 war, Israel has occupied about 1,200 square kilometers of the Golan Heights and annexed them in 1981, a move not recognized by the international community, while some 510 square kilometers remain under Syrian sovereignty

Message from the correspondents Anna-News

Despite the rapid advancement of the Syrian army does not relax. This is not typical, but for the advancing necessarily leave anti-aircraft installations, looking exactly up. Waiting for attacks from Israel. Although this is most likely a banal precaution.

We are walking just behind the assault groups

Message from the military commissars:

The Tigers continue to advance in Suweid.
Photo from the village of Juddel. The SBA left it, throwing its
tank there, several kamazes and pickups. Soldiers of the Tiger Force had already discovered an underground warehouse with weapons.

We prepare the report on the results of promotion.

The Syrian army completely liberated the area of Lajat in southern Syria. A few hours ago, the cities of Mleha Al-Atsch and Busra Al-Harir were liberated.

The militants continue to pull reinforcements into the area and actively use ATGM TOW.
