I'm looking to compile a list of international Defense & Aerospace companies. I want to focus primarily on the 'old horses'- those from the United States, the UK, Europe and Russia, or FSU countries (like Ukraine). If one is not available, I'm looking to compile a list of firms independently- for which I need your help. If you can help, particularly with a list of lesser known firms, I'd be much obliged. The list is for my new assignment as a Defense & Aerospace Recruiter and Consultant.

Basically, I need a list of companies that manufacture defense platforms- land, air (aerospace) and naval; as well as a list of 2) firms manufacturing sub-systems for larger platforms- avionics, electronics, hydraulics, RF/microwave, electromechanical, electrical etc.; as also 3) a list of firms manufacturing aerostructures, components and armour for dual or non-dual use, small weapons systems, personal protection gear, etc.-- in that order of importance and preference.
