Dear DFI members,
I have been observing DFI for the last few months and have noticed something, which I will split into two parts:
Adding humour to our discussion is good at times, as it takes a little steam off, but turning entire threads into jokes and conspiracies reduces the quality of discussions. As enthusiasts of so many topics here, the DFI members represent a section of society that is far more aware than the average Indian and is passionate to resolve issues. The more people we attract to this forum, the more awareness we raise. It is not just a discussion board but also a place where we can make a difference.
Therefore, I would request more stringent actions from Moderators to clean existing threads of nonsensical comments, including those that may have been posted by me.
This all needs to be accurately captured based on the increased engagements with several countries. For example, a lot is happening between India and 3-4 Latin American countries. Colombia wants us to help them set up a pharmaceutical industry, Argentina raised the Malvinas issue with us, applied for membership to BRICS and wants to buy weapons from us, Brazil wants to make us a strategic partner in the C-390 project, and we recently established a full-fledged embassy in Paraguay.
The Anglosphere has been increasingly politically hostile to us despite pretending not to be, with several economic, trade and diplomatic flare-ups. The non-Anglosphere European countries are doubling down on shifting their economic and strategic attention toward us (along with China).
All of this needs to be captured in dedicated country watch threads.
Either we do it at a regional level or at a country-level. This is open for discussion here.
Welcome your thoughts on this.
Regards,
Tshering Denzongpa

- Need for more countries in the "Country Watch" section
