Once the housing bubble deflates and economy slows Chinese will find it hard to retain the manufacturing advantage once they used to have.

Most of the Western regions of China like the territories Xingjiang, Inner mongolia, Tibet and provinces of central China are sparsely populated, they are either deserts, plateaus or uninhabitable terrains. It is easy to defeat these territories which have less resources and can field weak armies, Compare it with India's north western regions particularly Afghanistan( who are fierce fighters and are better equipped to fight).
