Let them whine, they do not have the balls to escalate beyond a point, similar to the last time they backed off. Escalate in SCS. Essentially, call Chinese bluff. Don't be the aggressor but retaliate to any misadventure in kind.

Military build up in the NE is critical, as critical as economic development and integration of our NE brothers so that any sense of alienation is minimized if not extinguished.

i worry that PRC will make it seem that their voice was ignored and they will do some silly misadventure near that area

india needs to be prepared

also sometimes i feel that if strategy (both with discussion and application - more through discussion) with PRC is right they will stop making such statements.

they are known to be pragmatic and love big picture thinking to their own benefit (can be both parties benefit).

north koreas are more simple to manage and also will be willing to be subordinate to PRC that is unlike Pakis (thats work in our favor)

Modi should take-off from Tawang for his Beijing visit in May. And then world will know who has balls or bayonets.

Not possible for the moment unless he want to fly off in a helicopter.

Nonetheless, the sentiment is well taken and appropriate.

Modi is as shrewd as China's Chou en Lai - the real mover and shaker of Mao's China.
