So China bought a hulk to make into a casino, and made a "new" aircraft carrier instead. Now it has a big target like the imperialists do.

Two serious points I take away from the article. One, if China can build hulls of that size, it should have bullt one, and some in PLA Navy agree. Secondly, China should expect to lose many aircraft and pilots before the carrier is truly operational.

Actually China bought several of them. Some of them were actually theme parks.:rofl:

The article did mention that it may begin in 2011 and be done by 2015. The second AC, of course.

As to the second part, yes. They have probably considered the possibilities.
