Personally if we build indigenous systems these things are bound to happen.. No system is perfect and it requires constant upgradation.. CAG report is good that way to improve the missile systems

The major problem is storage facility and deployment.. That is where concern lies.. No storage facility?? and we are decreasing the lifespan by 3 fucking years!!! ... And moreover no deployment yet in Eastern border when the Chinese have a robust counter system.. These are the major challenge that we need to address

The report of 30% failure is only due to production issues. Its not like that 30% of missiles failed to hit target, they were not even been able to fly at first place. So this could be brought down to manageable limit by strict QA. Although its a bit on higher side, but then too, a strict QA can't make it 100%. There would still be a failure of 5 to 10% there.

Well I meant there is nothing wrong with the hardware.. tatra is among the best in the business, of not the best.

Our Netas and babus on the other hand, far from the best.

In a box deployment pattern, an Akash group can defend an area of 62 km x 62 km. In a linear array configuration, it covers an area of 98 km x 44 km. Trapezoidal configuration gives defense to the largest area as compared to any other pattern of deployment covering an area of size 5000 square km

No, ballistic missile defence is point defense systems. SAMs can be deployed everywhere as it is used against planes, cruise missiles and hence can be blocked before entering India. Ballistic Missiles fly in exo atmosphere and difficult to block

Not in a mood to derail the thread, but just curious enough. In the same tweet found out these two system. Couldnot make out what bomb are these. Seems weird that its mentioned as CUNGUIDED BOMB (NTU/ RTU). Could anyone shed some light on it?
