Re: Live: India puts Mars Orbiter successfully into orbit of red plane

They should aim to eradicate polio first.

Btw since when pakistan is competing in space race?
They are not. Never was, never will be. That's why this is a laughable comment.

BTW, Pakis spend 82 million $ a year on space research. That's about 0.6% of their GDP. We spend 1.1 billion $ a year. That's about 0.05% of our GDP. SO who has misplaced priorities??

Re: Live: India puts Mars Orbiter successfully into orbit of red plane

Do india still recive aid from UK in billions? Can someone confirm this.
Yes, as mentioned in other posts the aid goes to NGOs. After Pranab Da's peanuts comment in 2012 British Parliament decided in 2013 that they would stop the aid in 2015.

One more point to note is that india has given 10 bn usd aid in the last 10 years. Most of the aid goes into training civil servants , engineers etc. and for buying Indian made equipment like water pumps , agricultural equipment etc. most of the UK aid is spent in their own country for writing research papers.

To whom the aid of 10 bn has been given?

what kind of space research pakis do by the way.:laugh::lol:
None as far as I know. Their space agency is called Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission or SUPARCO for short.

They don't have any space launch capabilities as of now. Nor do they have any indigenous satellite manufacturing capabilities. China launches Chinese made satellites bought by Pakis.

Explorer Who May Become 'First Pakistani In Space' Congratulates India on Mars Mission

Despite having a space agency since 1961, Pakistan has not yet launched a satellite into orbit.

But Namira Salim, the first Pakistani explorer to reach both poles said India's achievement had made the region proud.

"The success of the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), Mangalyaan, is a giant leap for South Asia," said Ms Salim, who has booked a ticket on Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic space project planned for 2015.

"I commend the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and all its scientists and researchers for not only achieving this astronomical feat, but also for achieving it in the most cost-effective manner."

Pakistan has not yet officially congratulated India.

But but we are all south Asians, yes? Where is the bon homie, bro?? :p
