    SSBNs for power projection ? Maybe, maybe not. Its a perceptive topic. Considering speed at which these projects move, 3rd carrier is not required for next decade but later ones. I do like good jokes on weekends :frog:

    Can someone move this to relevant thread ? But both serve different purposes right ? SSN and Carriers can coexist. We need not just patrolling but assertion on high seas, especially in rest of the Indian ocean.

    Let's not prioritize our needs that way. It doesn't have to be a trade-off. IACs are essential; with Chinese navy building consistently, we very well do need our way of power projection. Looking at how Chinese are pushing land borders, not sure if they'll any lenient on the seas either.

    They will not give us complete tech, but they'll happily push down finished products if that leverage and lobbies work out well. UK should be our solid partner in defense, not sure why it has not moved in that direction significantly. In short term, yes. In long term we need our own R&D base...

    We need more multi role fighters, so much that we do also need indigenous engine to power it. Anyone offering ToT on engines in 2.0 ? Can we pick Typhoon or Gripen for cheap now ?
