Missed a couple of things
Firstly, a lot of westerners got really disappointed
But, The West also got caught. If you notice, whether western media or social media, their wishlist during the crisis was primarily for Putin overthrown, Russia broken up, etc etc.....not for the war to end or for Ukraine to get peace.

This whole farce served to finally take the mask off their faces, not that it was needed for those who were not blind.

It was always about destroying Russia, splitting it up, grabbing it's resources.... Ukraine was merely a useful, disposable tool.

Nope, they want more (((federalism))) for Russia also, but they want it to be nominally united for single market benefits.
