TB2 is a product of a private company called BAYKAR in Turkey. It's a drone that's in service since 2014. The company had opted for those foreign components because they were cheap and reliable. There was no need to complicate things than it already was by equipping unproven, expensive local stuff. But this was back then. Since the embargoes the company sourced all those components locally except the engine. This include the antennas, the eots, elint, propeller blades etc.Oh wow! So According to the Turks, the Bayraktar TB2 is Turkish because it has a Turkish Mission computer, than if we go by that Logic, than we can say that the SU-30 MKI Aircraft is Indian because it has an Indian Mission computer. This is called Turkish logic!View attachment 126730
These Turks are always in dreams!
Just like how their Pakistani brothers and Sisters claim that JF 17 is Indigenous because it is assembled in India than by that logic SU-30 MKI Aircraft is also Indigenous because it is assembled in India.View attachment 126731
Thanks for sharing mate. Was not aware of it at first!TB2 is a product of a private company called BAYKAR in Turkey. It's a drone that's in service since 2014. Baykar is just one drone manufacturer in Turkey. There are many. For instance, the components used in TAI's drones are completely Turkish(including the engines). And they're much more sophisticated than cheap TB2. I think there's too much focus on TB2 drone. For Turks, it's an old news. There are much better ones nowadays. For instance AKINCI drone(also in service).
It is good as long as India keeps the source code. Without the source code, it is totally meaningless and just another form of screwdrivergiri. With an eye on China, US to develop drones with India
India will build these aircraft and export them to other countries in its region, an official said. Delhi wants to diversify its weaponry, which is mainly Russian-made, and also to develop its own defense industry.m.economictimes.com
