Chinese companies are becoming truly huge. Tencent's latest quarterly profit was US$1.5 billion. Annualized, that is a net profit of US$6 billion. Remember, it is NET PROFIT and not mere total revenues.

Intel's quarterly net income was $3.4 billion. China's Tencent has almost half of the quarterly net income of Intel. Since Tencent is growing much faster than Intel, conceivably Tencent could match Intel on net income in five years.

That is good but what relevance it has at this forum. Pl discuss this somewhere else.

Look at the top of the forum. What does it say?

"Rise of China as a major military power and it's implications. Information on political, economic and other non-military affairs related to China."

My Tencent thread is consistent with the purpose of the Chinese sub-forum. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. No one is forcing you to read my threads and posts.
