One thing I want to emphasize really hard.

C17 is one of the most precious assets we have.
Aerial transport in itself is very strategically important.

Does anyone know how much rebound time is required for a C17 to get ready for another sortie.
I believe aerial transport research is a must for future warfare.

Research to develope Electric propellers, devloping more lightweight but strong metals to make airframes.

In general make aerial transport as cheap as possible.

I envision in future we will have these kind of plane's flying in electric motor with a miniature reactor or plain Battery powered.

Future of losistics will be aerial transport.

We could have helped the resistance a bit more if we had more aerial assets.
Doesn't matter, we don't have the Logistics, nor do we have any experience with "expedition warfare" afaik.

The 3 stans bordering Afghan are in Ruskie's pocket, literally ruled by former Soviet politicians even today.
Fars will do Ummah Chummah drama and won't allow us.
Then you have Paapistan.

In any case that country will implode, the Talibs are only kept together by the threat of Amreeka and the hatred of Kuffars.
Now there is the other angle of hunger for power among the top tier Biradars/Mullahs of the organization.

Otoh the Ruskie wants us to make frens with Talibs probably as a foil to Chink interests in the region.

Hellfire gets a teeny tiny shred of optimism somewhere, but GoI will disappoint and he will go back to his bitterly pragmatic state.
In any case there won't be any hard action unless there is an important election close.

This is a start of a new paradigm of legitimizing ( Islamic )Terrorist groups as governments ruling over sovereign states, as long as they keep up the charade of not going totally 7th century.
Every other unwashed jihadi group out there will get emboldened by this and see hasseen sapne of Ghazwa -e- xyz many years from today.

liberal media supports talis => fixed match between budan and towel heads.
Your posh gora media doesn't even care when one of their own gets whacked by Talibs, like that one desi Sulla photographer for Reuters who enjoyed taking pictures of pyres in UP :bplease:

Liberandus are the sort of masochists, who will not blame islamists when even they or their kin are beheaded by sullas.. but, they will nonetheless throw mud on those who fight for themselves and their freedoms..

If usa decides to do something about Pakistan then india should help them
USA is not going to do anything about Pakistan, at least not in the recent future. A lot of people in the posts above have mentioned that anti-Pakistan sentiment has never been higher in the US. However, Biden's ass has been set on fire after the Afghanistan debacle. I do not see this government willingly enter into any major geopolitical moves for a bit.
On the slim chance that US does, let them have at it. India doesn't really need to ride on Uncle Sam's back to deal with Pakistan.

Regarding bbc here is the reason for their anti india reporting... UK is home to the largest Pakistani community in Europe . 15 pakistani origin people had been elected to uk parliament ... Historically, the United Kingdom has exhibited a soft corner towards Pakistan possibly because of the size and influence of the Pakistani diaspora in the UK and a feeling that the Raj’s divide and rule policy has benefitted them. And ISI has been promoting many lobby groups in usa uk ..... Its not that indians are not there in these countries .. But we have lost many of them to either islamists or left liberal lobbies which hate indian grand narrative ..

it is not just that, it seems to go deeper. from a post someone made earlier in the thread.
at the end of one of the sections on Pakistan this is what he appears to have said, it puts paid to any counter arguments that it is our narcissistic delusions that are manifesting themselves when we point out this naked bias.
When India was partitioned in 1947 millions of people died and millions more were displaced. Churchill said that the creation of Pakistan, which has been an imperialist outpost for the British and Americans since its inception, was Britain’s “bit of India”.
