Tejas's air-frame can't support AL-31 class engine.
When we were designing Tejas ,it was clear we were going to but Su 30 with AL 31 and also with some ToT that how Kaveri started but when Kaveri failed ,we should by default done for AL 31 with some improvement to maximize commonality.

No. I'm personally supportive of merging everything into the navy. Therefore, I disagree with making the military more complicated.

Its more logical to go for RD-33-3 rather than AL-31 for Tejas Airframe ..

That was also an option but since we have more AL 31 in service then RD 33-3 , so we have more commonality .Take a look at US air force , a common engine or even engine with more the 50% components reduce maintenance cost dramatically. Also we could power more power electronics and carry more weapons.

PARA SF use similar concept using Dhruvs at lower scale ..
Yes but unlike Air cavalry the helicopter are not attached .In air Cavalry helicopter are permanently attached to unit ,its deployment control by CO of unit .The infantry is trained in only heliborn operation .

These Helicopter are under Army itself not Airforce, The field commander has the power of wielding them, In operation is under CO of the assaulting unit, PARA SF main source of mobility via air is Dhruvs under Army command.

Its not like dedicated Air cavalry formation, But rather flexible and does use similar concept in various occasions.

That is a gud point, But if one has to mount an AL-31 than he has to redesign the entire fusalage by a great extend as the dimensions differs to an great extend when compare AL-31 to Kaveri.

Sir unlike PARA SF ,air cavalry are used to provide closer to the battle field ,It means that they land literal on enemy door steps for raid and open an alternative front at the max 10 km inside enemy area and hold the ground .
In counter terrorism they are used to provide as QRF for ambus and for Search and Destroy operation in area with no close army base in short time.

Much lighter like Tucano in hands of Army aviation, Presently it has Rudras ..

Army practice such an senerio in exercises where it does mass troop movement ( PARA ) as well as regular infantry units in tactical scale involving Army aviation only ..
