province # Rakka SAA control of the oil pumping station Al-Safih and deposit Al-Rasafa.

looks like main objective to cuthe road between Raqqa & Dei-ez-zior..
so that cut the route of ISIS militants leaving Raqqa to Deir-ez-zoir...!!!

Thats what I am saying , SDF let southern bank of Euphrates open , so that ISIS terrorist can escape Raqqa , and reinforce Deir-ez-Zor front and Palmyra-Sukhna-Deir-ezzor highway defensive lines and repeal govt advance through the highway for besiege city . Russia few days ago bombed a large convoy leaving Raqqa , surely US led coalition want ISIS to leave Raqqa , they don't care about ppl of deir-ezzor , also as soon as Raqqa fail , they can concentrate on oil-wells along the Khabur river in province of Deir-ezzor .
Encircled ISIS can still mount heavy resistance , just like they are doing in Mosul , SAA probably want to capture the only escape route of ISIS terrorist from Raqqa , so that SDF remain involve in Raqqa .

POLITICO: VETERANS TODAY AND SOUTHFRONT TURN AMERICAN SERVICEMEMBERS AND VETERANS INTO A FIFTH COLUMN

Politico, the most read “Capitol Hill” publication online, has released an investigation arguing that Veterans Today and SouthFront are shaking pillars of American society, foremost among them the military.

From our own point of view the article written by Ben Schreckinger provides another evidence of a high evaluation of our collaborative effort by mainstream media outlets and think tanks funded by corporates and governments. It explains why more and more people turn away from the mainstream coverage and analysis of the military and geo-political issues of our time.
The article is pretty big. The full article is here: https://southfront.org/politico-vet...merican-servicemembers-veterans-fifth-column/

GOVERNMENT FORCES REPEL LARGE ISIS ATTACK IN DEIR EZZOR (VIDEO, PHOTO)

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and National Defense Forces (NDF) have repelled a large ISIS attack on their positions in the Panorama, Hawaiqah and Rashidiya areas in Deir Ezzor city. ISIS fighters tried to exploit a sandstorm that hit Deir Ezzor city to attack the SAA.

Syrian and Russian Air Force warplanes targeted ISIS positions in the Syriatel Hill, the Panorama, the Al-Makabir, Al-Omal district, the Old Airport, Al-Hweika, Al-Rashidiya and the vicinity of the military airport.

According to local sources, three ISIS ammo depots exploded in Al-Khasarat district in Deir Ezzor, killing and injuring a number of ISIS fighters.

US-led coalition warplanes carried out 12 air strikes on ISIS positions in the Syrian town of Al-Bukamal. It is believed that the US may be planning to land US Special Operations Forces and forces of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The possibility will grow as the SAA approaches the road to the Deir Ezzor city besieged by ISIS.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...-state-leader-abu-bakr-al-baghdadi/102910544/

Russia's military claimed Friday that it may have killed the Islamic State group leader in an airstrike in late May.

The country's defense ministry said it was verifying reports that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed on the southern outskirts of Syria’s Raqqa on May 28 along with other several senior commanders from the extremist group.

However, there was no independent confirmation and previous reports of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's death have turned out to be false.

Operation Inherent Resolve, the U.S. military's operational name for its actions against the Islamic State, or ISIS, in Iraq and Syria, said it could not confirm the report.

Russia's defense ministry said Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed as he attended a meeting to discuss ISIS's withdrawal from Raqqa, its de facto capital.

"The strike, carried out by Su-35 and Su-34 jets, destroyed high-ranking commanders of the terrorist group, who were part of the so-called military council of the ISIS, and also some 30 middle ranking field commanders and up to 300 militants who were their bodyguards," the ministry said.

If Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's death is confirmed it would be a major blow to the jihadist group and self-declared caliphate as it finds itself retreat across Iraq and Syria.

ISIS has been clinging on to Raqqa as well as Iraq's second-largest city Mosul despite U.S.-backed coalition forces' attempts to eject the group from both places.

It would also mark a major military success for Russia. It has conducted a military campaign in support of Syrian President Bashar Assad since September 2015.

The U.S. State Department's Reward for Justice program has a $25 million reward for information leading to his capture or death.

"Under al-Baghdadi, (ISIS) has been responsible for the deaths of thousands of civilians in the Middle East, including the brutal murder of numerous civilian hostages from Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Al-Baghdadi has taken credit for numerous terrorist attacks in Iraq since 2011, killing thousands of his fellow Iraqi citizens," the Reward for Justice's "Wanted" profile of him says.

Under his leadership, ISIS has also launched or taken credit for numerous terrorist attacks in Asia, Europe and the United States.

Al-Baghdadi is believed to have been born in 1971, in Samara, Iraq, and rose to prominence through his leadership of al-Qaeda in Iraq, one of the militant groups from which ISIS emerged. He has been extremely careful to reveal very little about his true identity or whereabouts. Earlier this year, reports surfaced he has severely wounded in an airstrike near Syria's border with Iraq. The reports were never corroborated.
