I agree with you but i think they are makeing it more sensitive towards the chief guest, putting up the cultural aspects more and reducing the weapons of war to not make it an ego issue with the visiting dignitaries.

Or Congress party displaying its traditional lack of balls.

the parade just showed the advancements of Military tech, like T-72FMVP, Parihar and Agni-4.......

so the Arjun is not new tank, may next year we may see Mk-2.....
