If we really have to field such heavy tanks in the new geopolitical development, then why the heck can't we ask HVA to make a new version of Arjun MK3 and make it lighter? That would suit our LAC terrain and be easier to transport.

Why do you think it's a wise decision? We are already buying enough stuff from the Russians to keep them happy.

This would kill the future versions of Arjuns for good. All that learning and money would be into the gutter unless Russia allows us to modify T-14s as per our needs in the future.

As for the engines, we are developing own tank engine that will be at the same power levels.

The trophy aps for t 90s has been chosen , i don't think army will spend money in both projects simultaneously
