Would these two jets be equally good or better/superior than another one?

Russia and India are jointly developing PAK-FA. Both nations are funding / creating technology for stealthy beast. What is the current status of PAK-FA?

China intends to put J-XX under operational by 2015.

When PAK-FA would be inducted?

What is the contribution of Pakistan with China in developing J-XX

It'd be great If India and Russia both were a very rich country and they both going ahead to develop UCAV " a fighter jet shown in the movie Stealth"

I would prefer to wait until some of the real characteristics of either plane was declassified before commenting which one was better .As of now no one knows what either plane looks like or can do they could both be star wars X-wings for all i know.

China functions even more secretly with a titanium curtain making its military programs completely opaque to the world. Supposedly china's shengyang aircraft corporation indicated the concept in 1990 with sharpe like f-117 night hawk. But recent design changes have it resemble the f-22. It plans to use the indigenously developed ws-13 derivative with thrust vectoring. It is said to be in the 20 ton category with internal bay etc.
Industrialy pak fa is a mature design. J-xx is still considered 4th gen plane. While the russian plane will be truly 5th generation, it would also be a 30ton category fighter.
It should be noted that there is no silver lining between 4th and 5th gen platforms. Since even Us pilots regard f-22 as 4th gen stealth fighter.

China has two 4th g fighter programs: CAC works on the heavy one and SAC develops the medium weight variant. Both of them will have canards. 4th G is Western definition and 5th G is Russian only.

That's a negative, Russia and the West share similar definitiions for 5th generation aerocraft. The areas that seperate is when the West says 4.5 generation while Russia uses 4+ and 4++ designations that are still varying degrees of the same definition.

I believe both jets would be great and quite compete able. These two sexy beast will definitely draw international interests.

in today's world, Rafael, Typhoon, F-16, f-18, SU-30 are knows as one of the best fighter jets. Thus PAK-FA and J-XX would be known as great 5th generation fighter jets.

China will be lucky to get WS-10 working properly by 2015, much less developing J-XX.
China's early induction of J-XX would become a threat to India until it gets PAK-FA fully operated.

is there any great contribution of Pakistan in development of J-XX.???? Pakistan would also get such jets from China.

Pakistan would get them if China were willing to only donate such air-crafts. They are in no position to buy a heavy category planes right now.

such a "paper vs paper" is meaningless now.

Russia pledged last year to let "PAK-FA " finish the first test-fly in 2009.
but it seems that the check Russian issued will be returned again

Good luck, China can't even induct their latest fighters without Russian engines and engineers. We certainly aren't helping them with anything more advanced than what we field ourselves. Until you see WS-10s operating in large numbers, I certainly wouldn't even begin to worry about it.

There isn't any great contribution from Pakistan in anything China develops, except modest amounts of research dollars of which they can't afford now.
