Take off is fine! The catch is in the landing on deck with arrester cables. Any tests done on this so far?

As pet Idrw. sources NLCA will be on INS Vishal and Vikrant, What are the chances of the News to be true.

Very low chances. NLCA will definitely serve from IAC 1. However, if IAC 2 turns out to be a CATOBAR carrier, neither Mig 29K nor NLCA can serve from it since both of them are STOBAR fighters. For a CATOBAR IAC-2, we will either need to go for CATOBAR fighters (F35C seems most logical choice), develop one of our own (Naval version of AMCA), or modify something existing (Modifying NLCA).

Lets see what happens. There was also some reports in the past saying IAC2 might not be a CATOBAR but a follow on STOBAR carrier like IAC 1 might be ordered by the navy. I believe that will be more logical decision as it will allow the expertise gained from construction of IAC 1 to be put to good use and will be cheaper as well (at the cost of carrying less aircraft and being less capable). If this happens, both NLCA and Mig 29k will be able to operate from IAC 2.
