Its been ages that I encountered a white christmas. Always misses by a week or two. Global warming anyone?.

I have my last 5 Christmases in peak summers with sun setting at 9 PM. : )

Santa Claus is (was) actually St. Nicolas, from present day Turkey.

We are not sure what he looked like, but his red cloak was a result of advertising by Coca Cola. As per this Russian painting below, he was not fat.

Thank you. But as you said earlier, we have Christmas is celebrated according to the old Church calendar, 2 weeks later, so this holiday we had no main. He, more religious than the family, as in the West. We do not light the Christmas tree, and the New Year fir-tree.
