China made 120+ 4th and 5th gen fighters this year. Even the Pakistanis able to produce 20 JF17 and 14 trainers with same covid restrictions. IAFs demand in changes in midterm is really dissapointing.Are they sleeping earlier...it's been ten 10 years.

I am genuinely curious, has anybody done a breakdown of WHERE the buck seems to stop regarding LCA Mk1A? Where did things move quick, where did things stop? And if somebody has figured out WHERE things have stopped, does anybody know who is in the organization where things moved slowly and got stuck?

It's related to servicibility issue at local iaf hangers with interchangeability of cables aircraft.
Interchagibility of parts amongst a squadron is not a mid term request. That is the expected behavior of production aircraft all across the world. All aircraft have it. Without such interchangeability maintenance will suffer. IAF merely asked HAL to deliver a proper aircraft.

It is just me having wild guess , may be because of the software upgrade to incorporate Astra MK1..or else I don't see anything which delays the delivery

With the govt. They don't have money to sign deals for Indian products. Prime example being Mk1A, Atags, Arjun mk2 etc.

Just stop blaming HAL for everything.

Them purchasing means they didn't trust the previous tech and felt the need to steal more, Russians insisted on at least 24 cuz they knew the level thugs that chinks are, also,

There's a reason why most of these are plagued by one issue or the other, from j20 to j15....from their shitty engines which even pakis have rejected. Numbers doesn't mean they have quality.

Point was that chink steal and copy stuff all the time and face unintended issues due to that like with j20 or j15 or their engines which are outright horrible, if you have info on chinese using decoys on j10/11/16 then please put forth.

Motherfuckers what they were doing since many years when IAF asked the interchangeability at last moment they caught with their pants down.

These haramkhors couldn't deliver 8 aircrafts properly and are giving jumla of 20 aircrafts per year, MWF, AMCA bla bla bla.
They will not be given AMCA surely and I hope it stays that way.

When the engine will be American then why not buy an American aircraft and license manufacture it? It is the same thing as a sanction by US can destroy both Tejas and the American fighter we used but despite sour relations between Pakistan and USA, USA Never stopped spares and maintenance supplies to PAF.

Tejas is just a Jumla, IAF is not serious about it. HAL is a joke.

AMCA is also going to become a 5.5 Generation joke.

When you buy only the engine it is called, Business
When you buy whole aircraft its called, Slavery/Begging . so you must be a IAF guy for sure for giving such logics.

Sanction can destroy Tejas ?? Really?? Tejas engines had imported middle of Sanctions during 1998 because it was a business kinda deal. On the other hand, Pakistan's F-16 owned by America. It is USA who decide technology/weapons/range of Pakistan 's F-16s and Turkey is another good example. Tejas is much better option than slavery of USA/Russia but of course our beggar armed forces only love more begging.

Tejas is not Jumla and for the matter of the fact , No project of DRDO is Jumla. Jumla is our armed forces who talks mountains but sell themselves for imports every time. Read about Israel's defence History then you might understand
