What are those 4 small bombs? Also, looks like 2 diff fuel containers. Which one is the standard?
Those bombs are training BDU-33 or equivalent, with the dispenser unit:

As for the fuel tank, probably some testing. Both have probably the same fuel capacity, just different aerodynamics. 🤷‍♂️

That doesn't seem like a good idea.. gun exhaust ingestion chances?
well there are more thing to worry about with GSh-23-2 on Tejas than some smoke ingestion - the choice of GSh-23-2 itself is so dubious to start with {what were ADA guys thinking huh, 'Hey we use this on Mig-21 so why not put it on potential Mig-21 replacement for COMMONALITY ?'} - it has recoil issues and requires much more structural integrity than other available options, and if it wasn't bad enough the kind of offset placement it was given on Tejas - quite far from central line, makes it further hard to use it as intended due to again structural issues... aanndd result is we are yet to certify Tejas Mk1 for gun firing 🤷‍♂️

No wonder ADA is going ahead with better 30mm single barreled option on Mk2 variant

Lack of foresight can be seen in every sphere.

Source for the 30mm canon on Mk2?
